Item specifics
Condition: Used Make: Howard
Model Year: 1943
I purchased the Howard last year from a private collector"s estate. During the annual, I found a couple of items that will need to be addressed before flight.
These items include: replacing the auxiliary fuel pump; service/replace Goodyear brakes; adjust trim control cable; rear fuel tank needs to be cleaned (though it is ferriable as is)flap gauge inop (flaps operate correctly) needs battery
Other than the above mentioned items, the Howard seems to be airworthy. At annual, the fuel lines were replaced, ELT battery replaced, engine pre-oiled, and was run up (producing good power), and prop was exercised.
This is a very original, clean condition Howard with only 1004 TTAE. Only update or modification is a left cabin door, civilian interior, and fabric. Instrumentationand panel is mostly original. The Howard even still maintains the original R985-AN-6 engine.
The wings and control surfaces are new, with only 70 hpurs of flight time. The wings were built by a well known group in Spokane, WA that also built a Mr. Mulligan reproduction.
Due to the new wings and the original unmolested condition of the aircraft, this is an excellent choice for someone that wants to restore a Howard to their specifications. The bonus (especially for the price) is that it is complete, and can easily be flying as is, giving a pilot time to learn the aircraft before refurbishing or simply enjoy now.
I will consider a trade for a flying aircraft, single or twin. No projects, please.
I"m offering the Howard due to time restraints and not financial, so please no low-ball offers. I will not consider them. I have a couple other aircraft for sale locally and reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time if there is no activity on it.
Please only contact me with questions if you are serious about purchasing the plane.
