THE MUSKETEER IS BEECHCRAFTS VERSION OF THE PIPER CHEROKEE. THIS IS A 4 PLACE AIRPLANE, WITH A DECENT USEFUL LOAD, GOOD INTERIOR ROOM, GREAT VISIBILITY, AND DOCILE FLYING CHARACTERISTICS.
DESIGNED FROM THE START AS A TRAINER THAT COULD ALSO SERVE SERVICE AS A FAMILY CROSS COUNTRY AIRPLANE, AT A LEISURELY PACE.

THIS AIRPLANE IS VERY LOW TIME FOR A 1962 ANYTHING, ONLY 2,400 HOURS SINCE NEW, SO YOU KNOW IT DIDNT LIVE ITS LIFE AS A TRAINER
THE RECENT FORMER OWNER WAS APPARENTLY TRYING TO UPGRADE THE COSMETICS HIMSELF, AS IT APPEARS THAT SOME OF THE AIRPLANE HAS BEEN RESPRAYED OR TOUCHED UP IN AMATEUR FASHION (OVERSPRAY, ORANGE PEEL, ETC.)
ON THE WHITE PORTIONS. IT IS A GOOD 20 FOOTER HOWEVER, AND SO IT LOOKS DECENT IN THESE PHOTOS
THE BLUE IS OLDER, AND DRY AND WEATHERED. NOW THAT THE WHITE LOOKS BETTER, IT IS TIME TO RESPRAY THE BLUE I THINK.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD BLUE, I CAN SUGGEST A COLOR !
THE INTERIOR HAS RECENTLY BEEN UPDATED AND REDONE IN 2 TONE, MODERN LOOKING WHITE AND A VERY PRETTY MEDIUM DARK BLUE, THE WHOLE THING LOOKS VERY SHARP, AND THIS BLUE WOULD BE GREAT ON THE OUTSIDE AS WELL ! (JUST A SUGGESTION)
I NOTICED THAT THE WHOLE INTERIOR IS NEW, AND PROFESSIONALLY DONE, BUT FOR SOME REASON THE DOOR PANEL IS NOT MATCHING. IT LOOKS LIKE IT MAYBE HASN"T BEEN CHANGED OUT YET, SO IT IS TAN, NOT AN EXACT MATCH. I CAN ONLY GUESS THAT THIS PANEL HADN"T BEEN CHANGED OUT WHEN "IT" HAPPENED.
IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT THIS AIRPLANE HIT A DEER.
I DO NOT HAVE GOOD INFORMATION ABOUT THE INCIDENT. THE OWNER REPORTED THIS INCIDENT TO HIS INSURANCE COMPANY, BUT THE ASSIGNED ADJUSTER NEVER TRAVELED TO LOOK AT THE AIRPLANE OR VERIFY THE STORY.
THE REPORT IS THAT THE DEER WAS HIT BY THE PROPELLOR AND THEN HIT THE LEADING EDGE OF THE LEFT WING
OK LETS LOOK AT THE PICTURES I TOOK WHEN I WAS THERE AND EXAMINE THOSE CLAIMS.
I SEE NO SIGNS OF BENDING, DENTING OR SCRAPING ON THE COWLING.
OK SO LETS LOOK AT THE LEFT WING. IT HAS A DENT IN IT, NO QUESTION. THE DENT IS BIGGER THAN MY HAND, AND IS ON THE LEADING EDGE AND THE FORWARD UPPER EDGE. THERE IS NO PUNCTURE. AND NO DAMAGE, NOT EVEN SCRAPING ON THE LOWER SURFACE (SEE PHOTOS)
SO IF THE DEERS HEAD HIT THE WING LEADING EDGE, WHERE DID THE REST OF THE DEER GO.
OK I WASN"T THERE AT THE EVENT
MAYBE THERE IS A PICTURE OF THE DEAD DEER ON THE SIDE OF THE TAXIWAY AS IRREFUTABLE PROOF OF THE EVENT.
SO NOW WHAT?THE ENGINE, PROP, SPINNER AND EXHAUST ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING !!!STILL INSTALLED AND INCLUDED ARE THE TUBULAR ENGINE MOUNT (FITS A LYCOMING 4 CYLINDER), THE CARD AIR BOX, AND ALL OF THE ENGINE CONTROL CABLES, ELECTRICAL WIRING AND HOSES AND LINES. THIS IS A SIMPLE BOLT-IN REPLACEMENT TO INSTALL YOUR CHOICE OF ENGINE !!
AS IS SAID EARLIER, THE FORMER OWNER HAS DONE SOME PAINT TOUCH-UP, AND THIS AIRPLANE ISN"T A "10", OR A 9 OR EVEN AN 8 OR 7.
SOME OF THE CONTROL SURFACES HAVE LITTLE WRINKLES FROM NORMAL HANDLING OVER THE YEARS.
THE GLASS IS OK BUT IT IS GOT SOME CRAZING IN PLACES
INSIDE, THE NEW INTERIOR IS AMAZING, AND THE DASH IS FINE, WITH MODERN GYROS IN A GOOD LAYOUT AND CENTER STACK MOUNTING FOR THE RADIOS.
NOTICE THE RAM"S HORN CONTROL YOKES AND TOE BRAKES, NICE MODERN FEATURES.
