“Currently out of annual, but well maintained, hangared A55 that has many desirable mods. The mods are likely worth more that this auction will sell for! Flies awesome!”
Model Year: 1962 Make: Beech
1962 Beechcraft Baron 95-A55 Winglets, Micro VGs, Century 2000 Autopilot, McCauley 3-Blade Propellers, 1 Piece Windshield, Modern T-panel, IFR GPS, PS Engineering Stereo Audio CD player, two Michel MX-170 nav/comms! An amazing cheap twin! N70MF S/N: TC382 6,080 Hours Total Time Both Engines: 1477 SMOH. Left Engine had top overhaul with new cylinders 154.9 hours ago. Both Props: 207.5 SMOH (12/11/2009 Sensenich Propeller) The complete logbooks show that this was a fairly well kept Beech Baby Baron. This is a highly upgraded and modified A55... much nicer than many B55"s you will see on the market. The winglets are a $19,000 item alone! The Century 2000 Autopilot is a great autopilot for this vintage of aircraft, most have garbage or no autopilots at all. The low hour 3 blade props, paired with winglets and VGs make this thing climb like a homesick angel. On a recent flight it climbed out at 3,000 feet per minute! Six miles from the airport it leveled at 8,500 feet! Trued out just shy of 180 knots. The one piece windshield is a nice modification as well. Reviewing logbooks to clarify dates on bladder changes. Janitrol heater was overhauled by C&D Associates in 2014 just before it was parked. The heater is nearly fresh. Elevators were reskinned. The engines are quite close to TBO but run great. The left engine had a very recent top overhaul with new cylinders. This owner intended to fly these engines well beyond TBO as many IO-470 owners will tell you is possible. The logs threw me at first, as these engines were originally installed in another B55 and reinstalled on this aircraft when its own engines grew tired. The three blade props upgrade is nearly $30k today... these props were overhauled 207.5 hours ago. The interior is pretty original looking in fair shape for its age. Its serviceable and pilot seats have sheep skin covers. The paint looks great from 20 feet, but is showing age as you get closer. Several of the last few photos show the paint aging. This aircraft has gotten a lot of attention on the ramp. The paint scheme is nice and the winglets are a real wow factor. This will be an easy plane to sell as it is pretty. What you see is what you get. This plane is out of annual. It was last annualled on 10/7/15. It was ferried and flew fantastic a week ago. It will need new batteries. It only has 4.9 hours since last annual inspection was completed, but we found corroded floor supports on the prebuy from last sale. I think you could ferry this plane anywhere in the country if you added a few doublers. The aircraft is being sold as-is, where-is, no warranties expressed or implied. You are bidding to buy an aircraft. You are not bidding to reserve the right to possibly buy it later. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours with Paypal. The logbooks and aircraft are located at the Lehighton - Jake Arner Airport (K22N) in Lehighton, PA. There is airline service into (KABE) which is 10 miles away. Philadelphia is an hour drive with the rental car. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU COME SEE THE AIRCRAFT BEFORE BIDDING/BUYING THE AIRCRAFT! This aircraft is listed for sale locally as well as other online locations. Seller reserves the right to end the auction and sell it elsewhere.
