NOT DAMAGED.THE GEAR, ALL 3, INCLUDING THE NOSE GEAR, LOOK GOOD AND UNDAMAGED.THE FUSELAGE APPEARS TO BE TOTALLY UNDAMAGED!!NO FIREWALL DAMAGENO BELLY DAMAGENO DAMAGE TO THE WING CARRY-THROUGH AREA THAT WE CAN SEENO TAILCONE DAMAGENO DAMAGE TO TAIL FEATHERSTHE DOORS FIT WELLNO DAMAGE TO THE GLASS OR WINDSHIELDTHE RIGHT WING, TANK, FLAP AND AILERON ARE UNDAMAGED, BUT THE PLASTIC TIP IS CRACKEDTHE LEFT WING AT THE TIP IS DENTED IN, BUT BASICALLY ONLY ON THE SEPARATE OUTBOARD SKIN, WHICH CESSNA ENGINEERS KNEW WOULD GET THE MOST ABUSE, SO THEY MADE THE SPARS OUT THIS FAR JUST FOLDED SHEET ALUMINUM, AND THE SKINS SEPARATE, TO MAKE THE REPAIRS EASIER.THE LEFT WING ALSO HAS A BIG WRINKLE AT THE TRAILING EDGE, IN NEAR THE FUSELAGE THAT DID AFFECT THE REAR SPAR, BUT NOT THE FUSELAGE CARRY THROUGH.THE FLAP AND AILERON ON THE LEFT SIDE APPEARS TO BE UNAFFECTED.BOTH LIFT STRUTS ARE UNDAMAGEDTHE IMPACT ON THE FRONT BROKE OUT A PIECE OF THE UPPER COWLS FIBERGLASS NOSEBOWL, BUT DID NOT DAMAGE THE METAL THAT FORMS THE UPPER COWL ITSELFTHE LOWER NOSEBOWL DID NOT BREAK, BUT HAS SOME PAINT MISSING, SO IT MAY HAVE FLEXED SOME.THE LOWER COWL METAL APPEARS TO HAVE ALSO FLEXED SLIGHTLY AT THE FRONT LOWER EDGE, BUT THIS WILL STRAIGTEN OUT AGAIN.THE ENGINE MOUNT, FIREWALL AND NOSEGEAR ARE ALL STRAIGHT, WHICH YOU CAN SEE WELL BECAUSE THE PROP STRIKE 0-320 ENGINE HAS BEEN UNBOLTED AND IS NOT INCLUDED.AS YOU CAN ALSO SEE, THE HOSES, LINES AND ENGINE CONTROL CABLES WERE UNBOLTED, NOT CUT, AND ARE INCLUDED.THE GREEN WEIGHTS HOLDING THE FRONT END ARE FROM A JOHN DEERE TRACTOR I THINK, AND ARE NOT INCLUDED.THE ENGINE MOUNT IS NOT DAMAGED.INSIDE, THE SEATS ARE COOL TWO-TONE GREY AND THE SEATS AND MATCHING SIDE PANELS LOOK GOOD.BOTH FRONT SEATS HAVE THE CRANK UP “VERTICALLY ADJUSTING” FEATURE, SO PILOT’S OF ANY STATURE, TALL OR NOT, CAN FIND A COMFORTABLE PERCH.THE DASH IS COMPLETE WITH ALL LATE MODEL FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS, PLUS THE COMPLETE COMPLIMENT OF ENGINE AND AIRFRAME INSTRUMENTATION, AS WELL AS ALL SWITCHGEAR AND CIRCUIT PROTECTION.THE PAINT SCHEME IS MODERN, WITH SPEED STRIPES IN GREY AND BLUE.IN RECENT YEARS, MORE AND MORE OWNERS ARE SEEING THE BENEFIT OF USING THE TRIED AND TRUE 172 AIRFRAME WITH AN UPGRADE IN HORSEPOWER, USUALLY FROM THE FACTORY ORIGINAL 150 H.P.
