THIS IS A VERY STRAIGHT AND CLEAN SENECA II, WITH SUPER LOW TOTAL TIME !!
THE FORMER OWNER, A FORMER PROFESSIONAL PILOT, HAS NOT FLOWN THIS AIRPLANE FOR YEARS !!
HE EXPERIENCED SOME HEALTH PROBLEMS, BUT KEPT EXPECTING THAT HE COULD FLY AGAIN SO HE KEPT THE AIRPLANE.
LAST ANNUAL INSPECTION WAS IN 2009, AND PREVIOUS TO THIS THE AIRCRAFT WAS ALWAYS KEPT HANGERED. SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 2009 AND 2011, THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR STORING THE AIRPLANE PUT IT OUTSIDE THE HANGER. WHEN THE OWNER FOUND OUT, IN LATE 2011, HE HAD A GOOD FRIEND AND MECHANIC FERRY THE AIRPLANE FROM OHIO TO KOKOMO INDIANA, WHERE IT HAS BEEN HANGERED TO THIS DAY.
LAST FLIGHT WAS IN OCTOBER OF 2011.
WHILE HE WAS ILL, HE DIDNT KEEP UP ON PAPERWORK, AND THE REGISTRATION WAS ALLOWED TO LAPSE.
WE DO HAVE THE COMPLETE AIRFRAME LOGS, AS WELL AS A FANTASTICALLY COMPLETE AND ORGANIZED SET OF ADDITIONAL PAPERWORK.
ALSO INCLUDED ARE AN FAA BILL OF SALE (JUST SIGNED), AND THE AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE.
AS YOU CAN SEE, THE ENGINES AND PROPS HAVE BEEN REMOVED, BECAUSE OF THE CONCERNS ABOUT THEM AFTER SITTING SO LONG WITHOUT REGULAR USE.
THE CONTINENTAL TSIO-360 ENGINES AND PROPS ARE NOT INCLUDED.
THE ENGINE MOUNTS WERE ALSO REMOVED, BUT THEY ARE IN GOOD CONDITION, AND ARE INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION !!
ALL CABLES, LINES AND WIRING WERE REMOVED PROPERLY, NOT CUT, WITH PLANS TO RE-INSTALL THE ENGINES !!
ALSO REMOVED WERE THE ORIGINAL, RED VELOUR INTERIOR, BUT THIS TOO WAS SIMPLY UNBOLTED, NOT CUT OUT, AND THERE IS NO AIRFRAME DAMAGE AS A RESULT. THE SEATS ARE ALSO NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION.
WE BOUGHT THIS AIRCRAFT FROM THE OWNER WITH PLANS TO PART IT OUT, BUT AFTER SEEING THE CONDITION, AND READING THROUGH THE COMPLETE, DETAILED LOGS, IT WOULD BE A SHAME NOT TO ALLOW SOMEONE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET THIS AIRPLANE UP AND RUNNING AGAIN.
IF YOU HAVE OR ARE AWARE OF AN OLD WORN OUT, CLAPPED OUT SENECA II, MAYBE AN EARLY ONE WITH THE SMALL FUEL LOAD, THIS SUPER LOW TIME 1979 AIRFRAME WOULD BE A PERFECT SOLUTION, AND WOULD INCREASE BOTH THE VALUE, AND THE USEFULNESS OF YOUR COMPONENTS.
IF ON THE OTHER HAND YOU ARE REPAIRING A GEARED UP OR NOSEGEAR COLLAPSED AIRPLANE, YOU MIGHT NEED THE FLAPS, NOSEGEAR DOORS, NOSE CONE, BELLY SKIDS, ETC.
KEEP IN MIND, MOST OF THESE COMPONENTS ALSO FIT THE EARLIER, LYCOMING POWERED SENECA 1, AND THE LATER SENECA III AS WELL.
REMEMBER THIS AIRPLANE IS NOT CANABILIZED, THE AIRFRAME ITSELF IS 100% COMPLETE, IN AN AS FLOWN CONDITION, WITH ALL OF THE UNDAMAGED LANDING GEAR, MAIN AND NOSE GEAR DOORS, ALL 4 DOORS (OPTIONAL FLIP UP CARGO DOOR IN BACK AND FRONT BAGGAGE DOOR WITH GOOD LATCH ).

INSIDE, THE GAS HEATER IS INSTALLED, AND SO IS THE ALTIMATIC 3 ALTITUDE HOLD AUTOPILOT, WITH ALL SERVOS !!
THE AIRCRAFT IS EQUIPPED WITH ELECTRIC PITCH TRIM, AND THE SERVO AND SWITCH ARE INSTALLED, MOUNTED TO THE NICE RAM"S HORN YOKES.
DASH IS MOSTLY INTACT (D.G MISSING) WITH COLLINS GEAR INSTALLED, AS SHOWN, AND TRAYS STILL INSTALLED FOR THE COMMS AND TRANSPONDER THAT ARE NOT INCLUDED.
SIDE PANELS ARE INTACT AND LOOK PRETTY DARN GOOD FOR BEING FACTORY ORIGINAL 36 YEAR OLD VELOUR. A TESTAMENT TO THE LOW TOTAL TIME AND MOSTLY INSIDE STORAGE !!
