Offering my glass panel 2002 Comp Air 3 for sale to a good home. I purchased the plane in 2011 from the original builder and hate to let it go but time for someone else to enjoy it as I"m unable to use it as much as it deserves This is an amazing low maintenance plane for everything from cross country travel to backcountry fun. 140kts cruise on 11-13 GPH (depending on LOP or ROP)Docile flight characteristics with predictable stalls (no break or wing drop) at 53kts 2900 lb gross weight (800lb useful load)66 gal tanksThe CA3 is a composite tandem design (essentially a Comp Air 6 that was narrowed 18 inches) and could be described as an experimental, and aerobatic, L-19 Bird Dog. The plane has amazing visibility over the nose from front and rear, no need for S turns on the ground, and the full lexan doors improve that visibility even further. It is a 2 seater with dual controls but can fit 2 people side by side in the rear seat if desired. Currently I have a bench seat that folds flat creating a very large cargo area installed (photo shows seat stowed) but I also have another bucket seat for the rear.

Panel is outfitted with a Garmin G3X with 2 axis autopilot, single KY196 comm, 2place intercom, and a panel mounted 696. Engine is a Continental IO-470 with 260 HP and a constant speed McCauley prop. 530 TT airframe and engine.
Plane had been hangared until last 6 months, now under covered tie-down at KSNA. Conditional inspection good until September. I"d be willing to consider delivering aircraft at my expense to successful buyer if needed.
Please reach out with any questions and thanks for the interest!
