2016 Robinson R44 II Project! No Blade Strike!! Only 91.5 hrs Since New!!! Up for bids is this very nice like new 2016 Robinson R44 II Project! With only 91.5 hrs this bird still has the new vehicle smell inside! Like mentioned above there is no blade strike, both main rotor blades are straight, both tail rotor blades are straight! Oh did I mention this R44 II has Air Conditioning!! Power plant: Lycoming IO-540-AE1A5 S/N L-36439-48E New 9/15 Avionics: Davtron Outside Air Temperature (Dual) Garmin GTR 225B Garmin GMA350H Mid-Continental Artificial Horizon L3 NGT-9000D ADS-B Transponder L3 Directional Antenna Comant Waas/VHF Antenna Kannad Integra AF ELT So why a project? Well the new pilot was attempting to land but had to much forward momentum. This caused the skids to be pulled back and break off. The helicopter came to rest on it belly but still running with no blade strike! The damage to limited to the skid attachment area and sides of the helicopter. As you can see the helicopter is now sitting on another set of skids off a 2011 Robinson R44 II that I also have for parts. The skids are bolted on and the helicopter can be transported as seen. Damaged: (this is what I can see and as detailed as I can put it) Skid attachment areas Belly Side Panels Left Rear Passenger door has alignment issues The Rear Cover (bottom corner) Tail Stinger has bend near attachment Side of helicopter behind rear doors towards bottom Boom Mast Cover near cabin roof Muffler Cover Now during retrieval when one blade was pulled the other blade started turning towards the lowest point of gravity. It was attempted to be slowed down but not enough in time and the blade did strike and ding the tail boom. Please see the picture of this. It is very minor and im sure it can be rubbed out. The Good! Tail Boom (other than the little ding) Transmission Clutch Assembly Blades A/C Interior Avionics Engine Hydrualics Complete Logs! FAA Bill of Sale Airworthiness Cert. Data Plate I have looked high and low, flash light and all and I cannot find any damage to the firewall. No wrinkles, no kinks, nothing. Firewall looks good!!! This Robinson R44 is being sold as seen, no warranty given expressed or implied by any means. It is up to any potential buyer to examine the helicopter for themselves to verify any damage. Once sold thats it, all sales are final. Seller holds no responsibility, it is up to the buyer to determine airworthiness and perform such repairs needed. Any questions please feel free to ask, located in Phoenix Arizona, Helicopter is being stored inside. I can help assiste with loading, buyer to arrange their own shipping and transport.
