| Up for bid is a Mfg. Part No. 5-410-10, 10,000 foot altimeter. The altimeter serial no. is A2402, manufactured in the USA by U.M.A. Instruments Inc. in Dayton, VA. This instrument measures approx. 2-1/4 in. by 3-7/8 in. long, and appears to have never been installed or used. It also appears to have been dropped or struck with something, as the front glass crystal is broken. The glass is fully present, but two 3/4 inch long fractures extend from both sides of the apparent point of impact, the edge of the glass next to the adjustment knob. The black paint finish has scratches and mild nicks, and there is a mild overspray of white or gray paint on the top of the altimeter housing. I applied a very slight vacuum to the rear connection of the instrument, and the needle moves freely and smoothly. Three stainless steel, Philips type mounting screws are included. The altimeter will be shipped by USPS Priority Mail, in a 7 by 7 by 6 in. box, with a shipping weight of 1 lb. |
