1981 Grob 109 Motorglider has around 900 TT, with 200 TT on Limbauch 80 hp engine, 3 position (climb, cruise, feather) Hoffman composite prop that had a light prop strike with engine at idle. While landing the pilot porpoised and struck the prop tips on a grass runway. We have been told the engine does not require an inspection but decision will be made by the new owner.
Cruise at 95 kts on 3-4 gph, with 24 gal fuel capacity, toe brakes both seats, Microair 760 radio with intercom, ELT 406, covers for wings and fuselage. Wings can easily be removed and the aircraft trailered.
Some minor wing surface repairs required but the aircraft was inspected and deemed airworthy (prior to prop strike). Canopy glass needs minor repair to vent. Current date: 2018-07-14
