“Previously airworthy, currently in need of minor repair. Needs an easy tail reconstruction, minor wood repair and some fabric covering. The right wing needs wood repair and covering. The H stab and V stab need to be built and covered. The aviation grade wood needed to complete the tail as well as plans are included. All extra parts and materials are directly from the manufacturer. The manufacturer even sells a starter kit to build the tail for $80 and it only takes a weekend to build, allowing for cheap and easy practice.”
Make: MiniMax
I am selling my MiniMax HiMax 1700R aircraft. It is a tricycle gear and fastback conversion. This is a perfect winter project for a beginner to intermediate aircraft builder. All materials needed to complete the project are included in the sale. It is N-numbered and requires a condition inspection by an A&P. The benefit to this is that the aircraft time logged counts as Airplane Single Engine Land time. Can be restored to a tail dragger rather easily. The fastback conversion adds stability as well as provides a mounting location for a BRS chute.
I am selling due to hangar rent going up beyond reasonable amounts since starting the project as well as now living 2hrs away from the hangar thanks to work.
The aircraft is easy to build and the manufacturer provides amazingly good support. I have gotten technical support from Team MiniMax before I even bought this aircraft or purchased any materials from them. The plans are free on their site.
