Kolb Fire Fly single place Ultra-light airplane with a Rotax 503 Engine

This Ultra-light airplane is a Kolb Fire Fly with a Rotax 503 engine designed for these aircraft. Henry Kolb has designed many aircraft including ultralights, over the past 35 years. The engine has a total of 52 hours run time and is equipped with an electric starter, dual CDI ignition, dual carburetors, and a gear reduction prop drive. The airframe has damage to the leading edge on the right wing and the fiberglass nose cowl is broken. I have had quotes of $1,550 to $1,875 to repair but have not gone to the effort to load and deliver – no time. The Fire Fly Kit without Engine, prop assembly, & instruments is $5500; the Rotax is $4,000 without the prop. I flew a Kolb Fire Fly from Dallas Texas to Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin and to Los Angeles a few years ago, they were both great trips.

An open trailer built specifically for ultra-lights, that does not have the wing supports installed can be purchased on a first come first served basis.
