“Project aircraft. The engine and propeller are worth more than the auction will sell for!”
Model Year: 2007 Make: Samara VVV-Avia Elitar-Sigma LSA
2007 Samara VVV-Avia Elitar-Sigma LSAThis is serial number: 002This aircraft was the aircraft used by the manufacturer to become an FAA certified LSA.The aircraft has a Rotax 912ULS.Aircraft Airframe, Engine and Propeller have about 130 total hours since new!Complete Logbooks, complete manuals, complete service and maintenance manuals... even includes the manuals used to become a certified LSA!This is a Russian designed aircraft, but the aircraft was built in the USA and all logs are in English. I spoke with the certifying mechanic and he said it flew beautifully. Unfortunately the company had some issues and never took the aircraft to market. There is a kit-plane version of this aircraft in Europe and Asia. This is the one and only FAA certified LSA aircraft; be a part of history! The Rotax 912ULS is a very sought after engine by LSA owners and homebuilders. This prop and engine combination sell for more than $20,000 new! This aircraft is a PROJECT! This is not a flying aircraft. This is not a ferriable aircraft. I will not make it a ferriable aircraft as I do not have the ability. It will need composite work, fabric work, engine work. The interior will likely need to be replaced. The rear window is not broken, it was a break away design for a ballastic chute... unfortunately it leaked water into the interior. The wings remove very easily and it will need to be moved by trailer. I trailered it to my airport and reinstalled the 4 wing bolts and quick connects for the flaps and ailerons in about an hour (only thing missing quick connection is the pitot tube lines, which we had to cut... but it is half way there to having a quick connection installed). I will consider delivering for a fee. Aircraft will be sold as-is, where-is, no warranty expressed or implied. If I agree to move it, I move it only after it has been fully paid for. Please keep in mind that this auction will likely sell for less than a new engine and prop alone!
UPDATE! We opened up the engine, drained the oil, changed the filter, pulled the plugs and cleaned them, pulled the carbs and cleaned them and she fired right up! See newly added pictures of engine monitor and video of the plane running! Call my number below and I will send you the videos!
I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU COME SEE THE AIRCRAFT BEFORE BUYING/BIDDING! This is not an auction to the rights to buy... winner is the buyer. $500 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours. The aircraft is located at KXLL - Allentown - Queen City Municipal Airport, Allentown, PA. I am there almost everyday.
Call me with questions at (610)972-7940. I will likely have logbooks electronically available in a day or two.
