Item specifics
Condition: Used Make: Stinson 108-2
Model Year: 1947
O-435 six cylinder Lycoming 190 hp 463 smoh installed in 1969Hartzell HC12x20-8D propeller with new diaphragm Rebuilt magnetos and new harness (bendix), new fuel lines and cleaned out carb, rebuilt starter, rebuilt generator, new master solenoid, installed Cleveland brakes new brake hoses and rebuilt master cylinders, new tires and tubes (old tube in tailwheel), rebuilt fuel selector, tension set on control cables, clean plugs, new fuel drain plugs, new elt battery, new Gill g-35 battery. Plane fires right up runs good, just 10 hours on all rebuilt cylinders, rings, lifters, seals, in 1992, compressions still coming up as the rings seat themselves. There is a lot of hours left in this plane I haven"t flown it yet just some fast taxiing and tail up maneuvers. Has Razorback fabric on it that was installed in 1969 they say it is forever fabric but the wings need recovered I patched them where I found mouse nests in each wingtip, and back seat fuselage. I also performed an actual weight and balance as there is one 337 form missing which is critical to the engine change. I have all the log books and a lot of other paperwork and manuals. The plane is also clear of any liens and is registered to myself alone.I"m selling her for a few reasons, I"m burned out, can"t seem to get the time for a tail dragger endorsement, hanger rent while it sits, and my son went to college. I am probably going to take a loss on it but I"m okay with that she still needs some work. Plane is sold as is without airworthiness cert. I do not see an issue in getting a ferry permit to take it home. It can also be stored at the Laporte airport for hanger fees that are presently 90 dollars a month. I"m also good with texts.I would ask for a ride in it before it goes though :)
