Up for auction is a 1962 172C. She has around 950 hours Since Major Over Haul and this is a 1800 Time Before Overhaul engine. So there is a lot of time left on this engine.The Airplane was purchased in Maryland and taken to San Francisco, I bought it in San Francisco and it has lived in Oceanside the last year. When the plane was purchased, the engine was leaking from the push rod tube seals and was going through quite a bit of oil. All push rod seals have been replaced and she does not leak a drop. I have also replaced the airspeed indicator, altimeter, directional gyro, and magnetic compass, along with a new set of rotors and break pads This is a very reliable turn key airplane. Engine starts first time every start. The paint is straight from the 60"s but is still in decent shape. The sides of the plane are in great shape but the top has some sun fade. Interior as well is from the 60"s (Green and Tan Tweed) but is in good condition as well, no rips or tears. All windows are in excellent shape, no cracks or fading very clear. Door gaskets have been recently replaced and the tires are about a year old and in excellent condition. It has manual flaps and it does have the wheel skirts as well, but will require minor repair before installation
