Make: Bellanca Model Year: 1966
1966 Bellanca Viking 14-19-3A. Total Time 4107. Continental IO-470F 260 HP with 1751 SMOH. Compressions good and consistent. Prop 17 SMOH. Complete Logs since NEW. In annual. Annual completed 1/16
This is a 4 place, 180 MPH Aircraft that climbs out at over 2000 FPM with myself and full fuel. It handles amazingly with a superb roll rate and is stable and easy to land.
Empty weight 1800 pounds, Gross weight 3000 pounds. 1200 pound useful load.
The last two annuals since I bought the aircraft have been extensive with over $20,000 spent. Items changed or overhauled in the last two annuals are listed below.
Prop overhauled.
DG, Airspeed and Attitude Indicators overhauled and this greatly improved autopilot performance.
ALL new hoses including fuel, hydraulic, brake, and scat lines
Replaced the strobe pack
Replaced the ELT battery
New tires and tubes
Exhaust system completely overhauled including new mufflers.
Installed a Electronics International fuel flow and fuel totalizer which also monitors voltage
Installed a Reiff engine preheater. This has the heaters on all six cylinders as well as the sump heater
Engine completely gone over including bore scope inspections.
Replaced left side cabin glass
Avionics include: Narco 200 NAV/GS and COMs, Narco 12D NAV/COM, Narco CP 25 audio panel, Narco 141 ADF, Narco 190 DME, King KT76 transponder, Apollo GX55 GPS. Fully IFR equiped but I have not has the IFR equipment tested as I am only VFR. It all turns on and seems to work. Instrument panel has a very nice red back light system behind the panel. Makes night flying a breeze.
Century II autopilot with wing leveler and coupled to DG, both NAVs and GPS. Works well. I have only used the wing leveler and DG heading bug.
Single channel CHT and EGT instruments.
I also have a large stock of spare parts for the plane. This includes a complete horizontal tail section and rudder, doors, seats. cowling, fuel selector valves, hydraulic piston, brake cylinders, interior pieces, nose gear leg, fuel tanks, spare exhaust and the list goes on and on. I started to stockpile parts to make sure keeping it in the air would not be a problem. The Bellanca factory is still open and can get parts for you as well.
This is a great airplane. I have maintained it with intention of keeping it long term. My family has just increased in size and I need 6 seats now. I am upgrading to a Seneca. Otherwise I would not sell. It is the most inexpensive and powerful combination with these capabilities you can get especially for the money.
I will miss this plane as it"s low operating costs mean I can fly it very often.
I can help get the plane and parts to you for an agreed upon cost and full payment. Please contact me to make arrangements prior to the end of the auction.
This aircraft is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early due to a local sale.
If you have any questions please ask. I am sure I missed things I have done. You will not regret purchasing this airplane.
