1974 CESSNA CARDINAL 177RG, 4799 TT, 1369SMOH F.I. 200H.P., LITE GEAR UP ONLY, CHEAP !! THE CARDINAL RG IS THE TOP OF THE 177 LINE !! WITH ITS STRUTLESS WINGS, RETRACTABLE GEAR AND 200 H.P. ENGINE, THE 177RG IS A TRUE CROSS-COUNTRY CRUISER, FASTER THAN ANY OF IT"S CONTEMPORARIES, WITH GREAT RANGE AS WELL !! THE CARDINAL, FIXED OR RETRACTABLE, HAS AN ERGONOMICALLY DESIGNED CABIN, WITH 2 LARGE ENTRANCE DOORS, A LOW STEP IN HEIGHT, AND NO LIFT STRUTS TO WORK AROUND !! GREAT VISIBILITY AND HEADROOM AS WELL !! THIS AIRPLANE HAS A MODERATE 4799 HOURS TOTAL TIME ON THE AIRFRAME.ANNUAL JUST EXPIRED LAST MONTH, NOT A SITTER !! THE IO-360 FUEL INJECTED LYCOMING ENGINE HAS 1369 HOURS SINCE MAJOR OVERHAUL (200 HOUR TBO) THIS AIRPLANE SUFFERED DAMAGE WHEN THE PILOT SIMPLY FORGOT TO LOWER THE GEAR !! IT"S NOT HARD, IT"S GOT ELECTRIC GEAR, SO YOU JUST MOVE THE SWITCH, BUT HE FORGOT ANYWAY AS A RESULT, THERE IS SCRAPING TO A FEW AREAS ON THE BELLY, BUT OVERALL NOT VERY BAD !! YOU SEE IN THE PHOTOS THAT THERE ARE TWO AREAS WHERE THE BELLY SKIN IS WORN DOWN TO THE STRINGER UNDERNEATH, BUT THE STRINGERS THEMSELVES SEEM TO BE INTACT, SO THE BELLLY SKINS COULD BE PATCHED !! AS HAPPENS SOMETIMES, MUCH OF THE SCRAPING WAS THE PLANE RIDING ON, AND WEARING DOWN BELLY MOUNTED ANTENNAS, BUT THESE ARE EASY AND CHEAP TO REPLACE, SO ITS GOOD THEY TOOK THE BRUNT OF IT !! THERE IS NO DAMAGE OF ANY SORT TO THE LANDING GEAR !! THEY WERE NOT DAMAGED, AND FUNCTION PROPERLY !! THE TWO SKINNY NOSE GEAR DOORS WERE DAMAGED, AND THEY ARE NOT INCLUDED, BUT THE HINGE HALFS AND WELL OPENING ARE NOT SCRAPED AT ALL !! THE 3RD NOSE DOOR, MOUNTED TO THE FRONT GEAR LEG, WAS NOT DAMAGED OR SCRAPED AT ALL. THE VERY INBOARD EDGE OF EACH COWL FLAP DOOR HAS A TINY SCRAPE. THEY SHOULD BOTH BE USEABLE AS-IS THERE IS NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE FROM THE INCIDENT (NOT CLASSIFIED AS AN ACCIDENT BY THE FAA BECAUSE OF SO LITTLE DAMAGE. NO ENTRY IN LOG BOOKS !! SOLD WITH AIRFRAME AND ENGINE LOGBOOKS, LOTS OF ASSOCIATED PAPERWORK, AND FAA BILL OF SALE AND FAA AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE !! NO DAMAGE TO THE WINGS OR CONTROL SURFACES NO DAMAGE TO THE TAIL FEATHERS THE GLASS LOOKS GOOD DOORS SHUT WELL NO DAMAGE TO THE GEAR THERE ARE TWO SCRAPES ON THE SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE, AFT OF THE PILOT DOOR THAT WE DID IN TRANSPORT. SORRY. THEY CAN BE FILLED. INSIDE THE BLACK INTERIOR IS OK, BUT NOT GREAT. THE PLASTICS LOOK GOOD (OFTEN A SORE POINT, BUT THE BACK OF THE FRONT SEAT HAS SOME RIPS THAT HAVE BEEN SIMPLY COVERED UP. I WOULD SUPPOSE THAT SEAT COVERS WOULD SOLVE THE APPEARANCE PROBLEM WIRED FOR KING DIGITAL NAV-COMS AND TRANSPONDER, ONLY THE TRAYS AND WIRING ARE INCLUDED, NOT THE PANEL UNITS FOR THESE 3 SYSTEMS THE COLLINS AUDIO PANEL AND THE MODE "C" ENCODER ARE STILL INSTALLED AND INCLUDED. REPLACE THE MISSING UNITS WITH USED ONES, FROM US OR OTHERS, OR UPGRADE TO NEWER GARMIN STUFF WHEN YOU GET THE AIRPLANE FLYING. OF COURSE THE PROPELLOR HIT THE GROUND, AND THE PROP IS NOT INCLUDED, BUT YOU REALLY WANTED A 3 BLADE ANYWAY, DIDNT YOU? THE ENGINE WILL NOT REQUIRE OVERHAUL, BUT IT WILL REQUIRE AN INSPECTION FOR PROP STRIKE. SOLD WITH SPINNER, FAIRINGS, AND THE WHOLE PLANE, DISASSEMBLED AND READY TO TRAILER OR CONTAINERIZE !! LOTS OF AIRPLANE HERE, AND A VERY FEASIBLE PROJECT, EVEN FOR A RELATIVE NOVICE. A GREAT PROJECT ON A COOL TYPE AIRPLANE, AT A GOOD PRICE !! GOOD BIDDING !!
