During its last flight the pilot noticed that the engine was loosing power so he decided to land in a neary field. Upon touchdown the nose gear folded back damaging the firewall and belly. Upon examination it was found that the #4 cylinder rocker valves broke. The aircraft was disassembled by A&Ps and transported back to the airport.
The extend of damage is typical with any nose gear failure. Prop strike, lower cowling, firewall, belly skin, tunnel area by control pedals. During transport to Phoenix the Pilot side door came open and is little twisted, might be fixed not sure see picture.
NO damage to the exhaust or rest of fuselage, tail, or wings! The beige interior is clean, no rips or stains. Nose strut still collaspes but the scissor and fork will need to be replaced. Glass all around is clean, no scratches or cracks. The failed cylinder is not included in this sale. Seeing how the engine is past TBO it will need to be overhauled anyway. Here is great time to yourself that late model Cessna 182 for a fraction of the cost. Rebuild it and fly it or flip it.
