1968 Cessna Cardinal for sale, I acquired this aircraft about two years ago and it has undergone a transformation. The aircraft has a brand new paint job and a brand new interior. 2002 TTSN on airframe and engine. I have the logs books going back to day one. Narco 12D+ with ID 825 indicator. I will start with what I have done in the engine compartment, two new magneto"s, two new sets of wires and caps, 8 new plugs, replaced seals on gasolator, replaced seals on shimmy damper, overhauled carburetor, replaced vacuum pump, replaced oil cooler lines, replaced fuel lines, replaced mixture control cable, replaced engine baffling, serviced nose strut, cowling has stainless steel fastener kit, painted prop (currently a climb prop is installed -53) The fuselage New windshield, new vent windows, new L/R door windows (1/4") new r/h passenger window, new ducting thru out wings and fuselage (center spar section has no corrosion) new carpeting, new seats and cushions, new sidewalls and door panels, painted all trim and headliners, replaced R/H elevator tip, installed stainless steel screw kit on entire airframe, and finally replaced flap follow up cable. The wings have two brand new wing tips, stainless steel screw kit, new o rings on fuel qty transmitters, new o rings on fuel caps, flaps and ailerons have been properly rigged. The aircraft flies hands off. Annual inspection done 10/14, transponder certification done 9/14. Great flying airplane but I am looking to move to some thing a little faster, I would be interested in a trade for a Glasair II rg (plus a little cash of course)
There are a few dents on the leading edge of the wing from being mishandled when I had the wings removed. The engine runs strong and all compressions were 70 or higher 10/14 annual. This aircraft has the O-320-E2D engine.
