Item specifics
Condition: Used
Eipper Quicksilver MX UltraLight aircraft with a Cuyuna 440cc engine. The plane is in good shape, and complete. It is single seat, stick control and has a tri fuel tank option (two matching separate tanks on wings.). Everything is in good working order, engine runs strong, with the carb and engine head just cleaned. New fan belt included. Original manuals and paper work all included, along with a ballistic emergency parachute. this model has wing spoilerons, protopipe upgraded exhaust, wheel pants and upgraded safety harness. I"ve also made some simple covers for the exhaust, carburetor, fuel tank, and stick control. I purchased altimeter and a bankroll gauge but have not had the time to make a mounting bracket for them yet.
The background history on this aircraft:
I am the second owner of this airplane that I purchased this past year. The original owner bought it new from a local (at the time) dealer. He built it, had it tested and flew it often the first year. He kept a simple flight log for that year. He had always kept the plane completely assembled and ready to fly indoors in a barn on his property until he tore it down for storage. He kept everything together for easy reassembly. When I went to purchase the airplane we went over and inspected every single part together. upon bringing it back home I was able to put back together complete in eight hours. I also tore down the engine, cleaned, and replace any parts as needed during the rebuild. It fires up first pull, and runs very smooth. Your original owner told me he flew it a lot the first year but found less and less time to enjoy the plane as the years went on. He assured me that there was between 50 to 60 hours on the frame and engine, both. I myself have only put 3.5 hours of flight on them. A 52x32 1.50 hub wooden propeller came with this model but one will go be in the purchase but these can be bought new off the interent for about $250 Arrow props.
This air craft does not require any type of license for flight!!! But the smart thing to do would be read the manual that comes with the aircraft on flight, watch a video or two online about flying these type of aircraft, or even take ground school.
Takes off in short amount of space. But best to take off and land in large open fields / run ways though.
The wings are in good shape but are just dirty. The rear elevator and stabilizer canvas are slightly faded (although kept inside the light came through the windows and shined on the rear frame.) Rudder in great shape. Small rip on stabilizer but easily repairable and I may do that myself.
The plane has the wings and rear frame ( elevator, stabilizer, rudder) removed and stored away but the bulk the frame is still intact and can be seen, inspected, engine tested, and controls tested in person. This time of year there can be some high winds so having those parts stored keeps time off of them, also keep in mind with the wings attached it is a 32" wing span, and I don"t want to leave the frame out in the winter with my current lack of storage!!!!
This craft requires NO licenses or permits needed. Just common sense to fly basically. Just get in and go.
Feel free to ask any questions!
I"m upgraded to a larger licensed airplane and need the storage space.
I reserve the right to end the auction early.
