FOR SALE: FLIGHTLINK CATII SIMULATOR CIRCA 2008
Phoenix Aviation Academy is a non-profit education organization focused on underprivileged youth in Austin, TX. It is an organization that uses aviation as the platform for STEM education ( here ). A change in our business model requires the auction of our Flightlink simulator. It is located in Austin, TX.
The FlightLink is an older custom made version of this device: here custom made version was originally configured as a Bonanza A36 and was based on X-Plane 8 (simulation software) running on older hardware. The simulator is enclosed and includes all hardware (flight controls, avionics, gauges) as well as a simulation computer, a computer to drive the gauges and an older large-screen monitor with a maximum resolution of 1024x768 interlaced.
This unit could be upgraded with newer computers, new software and a new monitor to create a really high-performance state-of-the-art immersive simulator. FlightLink (the company) does offer support and upgrade services.
The unit as it currently stands is not plug-and-play, it will require calibration and some configuration to use it as-is without performing an upgrade.
The value of the hardware alone in today"s market is nearly $20k. New FlightLink simulators are in the $40-$50K range.
Buyer pays shipping and disassembly/reassembly fees or free local pickup. Winner will contact seller to coordinate shipping with desired freight company. Help our organization and get a really cool trainer (or a super toy!) for yourself or your school!
