This is a truly unique airplane of museum quality. Meticulously built by master builder of multiple aircraft. Several articles about this airplane & it"s builder, Phillip Howell, in EAA Sport Aviation magazine including it"s historic flight to Oshkosh. This is aircraft shows incredible craftsmanship and is one of the best examples of experimental aircraft innovation you will ever see.
This Flying Flea has folding wings for storage or trailering and was kept by the builder in a one car garage. It was trailered to the airport for each flight and has over accumulated over 850 hrs total time and looks like new. It also has a custom built wood and lexan canopy, Wing spoilers, and an air powered generator for charging the battery. The French Flying Flea (Pou du Ciel in French) has two wings. It was designed to be an easy to fly, stall proof aircraft. The top wing is a flying wing which controls pitch. Roll is controlled by the rudder. It is touted as the only truly stall-proof airplane.
Sale includes all original paperwork, plans, blueprints, metal cutouts, documentation and logbooks for both the airframe and engine. Another one of these airplanes could be built much more easily saving tons of time using the dies and cutouts included with this airplane.
