The Mosquito line of helicopters is the outcome of over 20 years of research, development and continuous improvement. Mosquito helicopters are innovatively simple in their design but have the same safety standard and flight characteristics as any other professional helicopter. A high power to weight ratio and excellent autorotation characteristics make the Mosquito an excellent choice for low and high time pilots. Mosquitoes are the most economical helicopters in the world in regard to both purchase price and operating costs!
There are two basic models available, the open frame Mosquito Air and the sleek enclosed Mosquito XE. Both models can be purchased as US part 103 ultralights which mean they need no license to fly or operate. They can also be purchased in kit form or as a fully built flying helicopter. There is also a factory assist program available for builders to assemble their helicopters at the factory in Florida. Both models can also be purchased as experimental models so they can be used to gain hours on type and so they can be flown without limitations. Three engines options are available, the base 2 stroke, 2 cylinder, 60 hp MZ202 engine, the high power 2 stroke, 2 cylinder, water cooled, fuel injected, oil injected, 85 hp Inntec 800 engine or the smooth, powerful, 90 hp Solar T62 turbine engine.
