Make: Beech Model Year: 1969
DescriptionYou are bidding on a low time, well maintained 1969 Beech B-55 Baron. According to Beech, the B-55 will take off in 910 feet while carrying 1768 pounds of fuel and passengers. The plane will climb almost 1700 feet per minute, and with it"s long range fuel, has a range of 950 NM at a recommended cruise of 195 knots. The B-55 burns 12 GPH at altitude and has a landing roll of only 840 feet. We have routinely operated these planes out of our 1600" grass strip for many years. N386Q has been well maintained over her history. She has only had 2 owners for 44 years of her life. The aircraft was Annualed on 07-22-16. The heater has been recently overhauled (6.3 hours ago), and is no longer subject to the recurring heater AD. For the price, there is no plane that can compete with the B-55"s speed, payload, handling, reliability, and quality of build. The plane was geared up 20 years ago, in 1996, but airframe was expertly repaired, and the engines were done by Certified Engines. The plane has spent 45 of it"s 47 years in central Alabama, western NC, and TN. There are no corrosion issues with this plane. This aircraft is priced tens of thousands of dollars below other aircraft for sale with comparable times and equipment, and should give it"s new owner years of service with no major expenditures.
