Item specifics
Condition: Used
Used Lycoming engine off of a 1967 TH-55 Helicopter I bought and am selling parts off of. Was told it last ran in 2003. No logs or records. No idea how many hours are on it. So consider it a core, or parts engine. This is the 180hp fuel injected version. Comes as you see it with both Bendix mags and injection unit. Not pictured is all the shrouds and hub mounted fan. All are included, and the shrouds are in great shape. I just took them of to blow the fins out. The starter ring gear looks great, with no chipped or worn teeth. Engine is not locked up. You can turn it over by hand, and it has compression. It looks like some one put some oil in the cylinders when it was put in storage. I did notice that the No.4 intake tube is rusted out in the bottom. Probably from condensation as it is the lowest intake tube. See the pic. Would be a great engine to build for a home built aircraft or an air boat. Feel free to ask any questions, or stop by to have a look at it. I will be listing many other TH-55 parts.
