“Annual expired 5/2016. Unable to find mechanic to perform inspection at current airport”
Make: Meyers 200 Model Year: 1959
The MEYERS 200 is considered by many to be the strongest, safest, and fastest, normally aspirated production piston single-engine 4-place aircraft ever built. I was able to find six Meyers 200s for sale at the present time. Prices range from $80K to $150K. I have placed a buy it now price on my aircraft of $65K which I consider reasonable. With a starting bid of 35K my Meyers 200A WILL be sold so if you have ever wanted one don’t pass up this opportunity. I have all the log books from day one. The annual expired in May of this year, therefore no demo flights. There are no mechanics at the current location that have time available to conduct an annual inspection, so the a/c will need a ferry permit. It IS in as airworthy condition in every respect. In 1966, a 200A piloted by Bill Brodbeck set the world speed record for Class C-1.b Group 1, speed over a 3 kilometer closed course of 227.24 mph which lasted almost 18 years. The Meyers 200 has never had an in-flight structural failure and has no FAA mandated Airworthiness Directives (AD) against the airframe. New G/Y flt spec tires/Leakguard tubes. New wheel bearings and races, new windshield and door glass. New oil change using Aeroshell 20/50. Don’t expect a new aircraft, but you can expect an a/c with an original interior that is in good condition, an exterior in excellent condition with two year old paint. The glass is excellent and all instruments and controls are in good working order. The door needs an adjustment as the lower right corner is out of alignment by about ¼ inch. This is cosmetic only and does not affect airworthiness. Just want to make sure that you are aware of any defect. Starting bid: $35K IMPORTANT !!! This is an auction. Respectfully, do not bid if you can"t go through with your purchase.Do all your questioning and/or come and inspect the airplane before you bid. The winning bid is buying this nice aircraft. $1,000 Non Refundable deposit due at close of auction and the rest in Cash or wire transfer within 72 hours.
