“The engine ran when parked. There is a tear in the left elevator approximately 6 inches long. The throttle is labeled backwards. (Fast is slow and slow is fast.)”
This is a Weed Hopper Ultralight airplane that I purchased several years ago. It has a bombardier rotax 277 engine with a composite tri-prop. The throttle has been replaced at some point with one from a lawn mower and is backwards from how it is labeled. "Slow" is actually wide open as I found out on the first fire up! I believe the engine is rated at 50 horse power. It is surprisingly strong. The covering has a rip in the left elevator about 6" in length and a hole in the rudder approximately dime size. The airplane comes with a spare axle shaft and a ballistic parachute. I have no idea what shape the parachute is in as I have not had it tested or deployed. Instrumentation is standard for the type. I have NOT flown this aircraft, so I cannot say how it flies or if the instruments work correctly. I am selling due to the fact that this plane has been sitting for several years as I simply have no time for it. I would rather it go to someone who will fly it or can use the parts. Thanks for looking and good luck!Buyer is responsible for shipping, however, I can help load and may deliver within 200 miles for a charge.
