This is a restoration project aircraft. The aircraft was not wrecked, simply disassembled to be a museum quality restoration. The aircraft began its life as a YKS-6 with a Jacobs engine. During a restoration a previous owner decided to put a Continental on it... making it a VKS-6. The last owner wanted to restore it to show quality and it needed to be original Jacobs powered. He bought and had a Jacobs R755-B2 overhauled by Hugo Bartel. A well respected Jacobs rebuilder. The engine mount was restored and the engine and engine mount were crated and delivered... This engine and mount combo has never left the original crate and looks awesome; truly beautiful. Radial Engines Limited sells an overhauled R755-B2 for $36,000.The airframe is straight and clean. No real corrosion issue to note. The wood work is clean, solid and unmolested. Many of the accessories have been overhauled and are tagged for installation. The control surfaces look very nice. There are many multiples and spares. Spare oil coolers (yellow tagged), spare fuel tank, spare wheels (about 4-5 sets). spare brake systems, new brake discs, spare oil coolers, spare carburetor, spare magnetos, ect.. There are boxes of plans and blueprints for the plane as well. Logbooks are complete from day one. There are photos and supporting documents which make for a neat history of the plane. This is an original sales ad for the plane too. This aircraft was purchased as part of an estate and with it we purchased all of the aircraft parts, even many that are not for this aircraft. If you view the photos you will see about 4-5 sets of cowlings, about three engines worth of spare baffling, some continental radial parts as well. There are a few old radios with this Waco"s tail number on the boxes as well. There are some Waco shirts, photos and ads. Lots of records for this Waco and a few others. Everything this guy had Waco is included in this auction... everything pictured (less the trailer, hot tub and sailboat in the garage... trailer can be included for a few $$).
