Item specifics
Condition: Used Make: Porterfield
Model Year: 1941
My father has owned this plane for 41 years and thinks it is time to let someone else be its care taker. He would like to know it is going to a “good home”. The plane is S/N 945, NC37716, CP-65 (Continental - 65HP). It has 3255 hours TT, engine has 673 SMOH, and 528 STOH. Seating is tandem with dual controls. A new climb prop was installed last year, a cruise prop and hub is included. The original wings are included, but are not on the airplane now. The wings that are on the plane are from S/N 577, the rest of that plane was burned in a hanger fire during a restoration near Buffalo in the 90’s. The plane was recovered in Poly-fiber in 2004, the paint is faded from being tied down outside in the winter. It comes with a set of aluminum skis with part of the landing gear attached so installation is a bolt in swap, small pivot wheels are used to moved the plane on hard surfaces with the skis on. The plane was fitted with floats in the 40’s and those mounting tabs are still in place. The tubes were oiled then and again in 2004. Includes all of the original log books and paperwork dating back to the 40’s. It is currently airworthy and only needs a new owner. I have a 22’ enclosed trailer and we can work out something to deliver the extra wings.
