I am offering for sale this 1946 Aeronca 11AC Chief. Airframe has 1255 hours since new and engine is a Continental A65-8 with 5 hours since major overhaul done in 2014. Sensenich wooden propeller has 65 hours since new. Last annual was completed in May 2014 so annual expired June 1, 2015. Airplane has been hangared. Cosmetics are average to slightly below average, I"ll rate it 4.5-5/10. The airframe logbooks begin in August 1947 with 211 hours total time. Wings were repaired and recovered with Stitts Poly Fiber in 1999 after plane hit a t-hangar. Fuselage was recovered in 1991 with Airtex 102. Fabric was tested to 60# at the annual in 2014 and passed. AD 2000-25-02 R1 and SL 406 complied with by additional inspection cutout rings added. New tires and tubes last annual. Airplane is hangared in Bucyrus, Ohio (17G). Airplane is being sold " AS IS, WHERE IS". Get a ferry permit and fly it to your home base or you can annual it here but we will not put a fresh annual on it.
