Cessna 1946 As much as I do not want to sell this plane I am moving overseas, and I do not want to.

As much as I do not want to sell this plane I am moving overseas, and I do not want to leave it sitting for 3 or more years un-used and
un-loved. This is a great flying airplane and very affordable to operate and a
whole lot cheaper than renting, added bonus you will own something with a bit
more ramp appeal than your average spam can. My operating costs have averaged
approximately 50 dollars an hour. This is including fixed costs such as hangar
and insurance. The plane is what I would call a 5 footer cosmetically. Paint is good but older, and there is some light hangar rash which I can provide photos of but nothing that
affects airworthiness, again it is very light. The locations these include
on the rudder and I believe the left aileron (i"ll have to check). You really have to look to be able to see either.
Overall the exterior is, I would say, a 6 to 7/10. Fabric is older, appears to be 87
per the logs, but punches great, is nice and tight, and stays in a hangar. You can see a few paint
repairs on the upper wing but nothing that detracts too much from the overall
aesthetic. Also no corrosion on or in the airframe, if you would like photos I
can provide them at your request. Also included are the matching wheel pants and hardware that is shown on the plane in one photo. This 140 will provide years of flying
memories. Moving on to the interior I would say it is a solid 5 to 6/10. If
you are handy you can put an all new interior in these airplanes for about
1500.00USD from airtex. The interior is older, the headliner is vinyl and has
one tear by the right hand rear window. However,
this 140 does have the highly desirable 150 seat STC and 4pt harnesses which
are much more comfortable than the standard 140 bench and safer than just the
old lap belt. The panel is very clean and simple. Brand new valcom 2000
radio with aux input, intercom, and the transponder check was just completed
about 6 months ago. There is also 12volt power on the panel to run a portable
gps (GPS in photos not included with sale) or whatever else you want run on it.
There was damage in 1964 and you can see the report on the NTSB website. All repairs were done and documented in the logs and has been flying great ever since. I fly the plane weekly. N76421 will be sold with a fresh annual and new concord
battery. It is currently in the shop and should be out by auctions end or very close.Engine is a don"s dream machine stroker C-85 approx 570SMOHAirframe TT 6050Sensenich Propeller Many desirable STC"s to include auto gas.All logs to new (see photos) and lots of other documentation and receipts. Please ask any and all questions, I can provide my mechanics number if you have any questions for him. Also please do your due diligence. I will not ferry the plane to you as I do not have time and I cannot provide a tail wheel sign off. I can provide some dual time to the buyer so they are comfortable in the plane before taking it home. The winner of this auction will be getting a great turn key plane at a great price. Add gas and go! Current date: 2017-01-18
