Item specifics Condition: Seller Notes:
Make: Globe Swift Model Year: 1946
You are bidding on my 1946 Globe Swift project. It is apart to the extent seen in the pictures. What you see is what you get!!! I have too many projects and not enough time and money. It is complete except for the prop and Avionics/instruments. All sheet metal is in excellent shape with lots of it new!! I have owned it for a couple years. The owner before me....for 30. He was going to make it a grand champion. Changes a lot of the skins that weren’t perfect. Replaced the side skins with thicker aluminum for a bigger/heavier engine (popular and necessary mod). He drilled off the wind stub leading edge skins to re skin with new skins that would close up the wheel well to allow for smaller tires and better speed/aerodynamics. STC for Cleavland wheels and brakes (wheels installed). Cessna air vent, Cessna trim wheel, Cessna 150 seats (included)! STC (Thomason) for stick conversion included as well as all materials required for the conversion! Control wheel assembly already removed and some pulley brackets made. Ready for P-51 gear door conversion and any other mods you choose. Canopy was removed for canopy conversion but no kit available. Still have original. New cables purchased. All parts stripped. You will not find a better project to complete your dream of building and owning a Super Swift!! S/N 43. Converted to a “B” model in 1967. 917 hours total time on airframe. Have all logs, books, receipts, STCs, manuals, etc... Engine is a Continental C-125-2F. 318hours TTSN. 77hrs since last overhaul in 1981. Last run in ‘83. In dry storage since Complete firewall forward including fiberglass cowling. This was a flying airplane when the previous owner took it home for restoration. It needs someone to finish it up and bring it back to life! NO RESERVE!!! So bid to WIN!! I reserve the right to end the auction early as it is listed for sale in other locations. Please feel free to call with any questions. Todd 337-298-5141. Thanks.
