WITH 80 GALLONS ON BOARD, YOU WILL NEED TO STOP BEFORE THE AIRPLANE WILL !!E-225 ENGINE UPGRADE !!THE ENGINE IN THIS AIRPLANE HAS ONLY 236 HOURS SINCE MAJOR OVERHAUL IN 2005, AND ONLY 57 HOURS SINCE A TOP OVERHAUL IN 2015!!THE CYLINDERS HAVE ONLY 56 HOURS SINCE OVERHAUL !!THE DASH HAS BEEN MODERNIZED AND REARRANGED, WITH EXTRA INSTRUMENTATION ADDED, AND A COOL STEEL BLUE DASH PAINTJOBSPEAKING OF PAINTJOBS, THE BRIGHT BLUE WITH BLACK ACCENTS PAINTJOB, DONE IN 1997 IS DISTINTIVE WITHOUT BEING WEIRD. I LOVE IT! SHINY AND WELL CARED FOR.THE INTERIOR IS VERY UPDATED AND CUSTOM, WITH LATER MODEL SPLIT REAR SEATS AND CUSTOM FRONT BUCKETS (BENCH SEATS FRONT AND REAR WERE STANDARD)A V-35 AIR DUCT PROVIDES PLENTY OF FRESH AIR TO THE OVERHEAD.ONE PIECE WINDSHIELD IS QUIETER, GIVES BETTER VISABILITY AND LOOKS MORE MODERNAVIONICS INCLUDE:NARCO 760 CHANNEL DIGITAL NAV-COM WITH GLIDESLOPETRAY WIRED FOR ANOTHER MK 12D NAV-COM, WITH VOR STILL INSTALLEDNARCO CP 136 AUDIO PANELOLD ADF SYSTEM.THERE IS A TRAY FOR A NARCO TRANSPONDER INSTALLED AND WIRED TO THE ANTENNA AND A MODE “C” ENCODER, BUT THE PANEL UNIT IS NOT INCLUDED.THERE IS NO YOKE INCLUDED!!THERE HAD BEEN A DUAL YOKE INSTALLED FOR THE CHECK-OUT FLIGHT, SO THAT WAS REMOVED AFTER THE INCIDENT, BUT THE SINGLE WAS NEVER RE-INSTALLED, AND I DIDN’T GET ONE, SO YOU NOW HAVE YOUR CHOICE OF WHICH WAY TO GO. BUY AND INSTALL WHAT MAKES SENSE FOR YOUR MISSIONS.JASCO ALTERNATOR UPGRADEOIL FILTER ADAPTER MODAIR/OIL SEPERATORCHROME VALVE COVERSBATTERY RELOCATION KITTHE WHOLE ENGINE COMPARTMENT LOOKS GREAT.UNFORTUNATELY, THE OWNER LOVED THIS AIRPLANE FOR SO LONG, THAT HE GREW OLD WITH IT.DECIDING HE SHOULD PASS IT ON TO A YOUNGER GENERATION, HE WENT FLYING WITH A YOUNGER PROSPECTIVE BUYER, WHO DID A GOOD JOB WITH THE FLIGHT, UNTIL HE MADE THE ULTIMATE PIANO KEY MISTAKE, AND RETRACTED THE GEAR INSTEAD OF THE FLAPS !!SINCE THE SPEED WAS LOW, THE GEAR DID NOT FULLY RETRACT.THE NOSE CAME ALL THE WAY UP, BUT THE ONLY SCRAPING APPEARS TO BE TO THE FORWARD PORTION OF THE NOSE DOORS, NOT THE NOSEBOWL OR GEAR WELL.THE LEFT GEAR FOLDED NEXT, SO THERE IS A SCRAPE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LEFT TIP TANK (CAN BE BONDO’D, IT IS NOT LEAKING), AND A DENT IN THE FORWARD SKIN (FORWARD OF THE FRONT SPAR, WHICH IS NOT DAMAGED) AND ONLY THE FAR OUTBOARD BAY, NO OTHER OUTBOARD RIBS ARE AFFECTED!!THE LEFT EXHAUST PIPE IS FLATTENED, BUT THE RIGHT IS FINE. THESE PIPES HAVE AN STC MOD WHICH PUTS BALL JOINTS ON THE PIPES, SO REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR IS FAR EASIER.THE LEFT INBOARD GEAR DOOR, WHICH OPENS UP WHEN THE GEAR RETRACTS, SCRAPED THE GROUND AND IS DENTED AS WELL.THE GEAR ITSELF DID NOT SUSTAIN DAMAGE, BUT THE INBOARD WING RIB, WHERE THE WING MEETS THE FUSELAGE, IS WRINKLED AND TORN IN THE CORNER.THE RIGHT INBOARD GEAR DOOR, WHICH STARTS TO MOVE BEFORE THE GEAR STARTS TO IS ALSO SLIGHTLY SCRAPED ON THE BOTTOM EDGE, BUT THE INBOARD RIB AND ATTCH POINTS FOR THIS DOOR ARE NOT DAMAGEDTHE RIGHT WING, TIP TANK AND GEAR ARE NOT DAMAGED!THE RIGHT SIDE NEVER EVEN RETRACTED!BOTH FLAPS WERE EXTENDED, BUT WERE NOT SCRAPED BECAUSE THE NOSE WENT DOWN.THE RIGHT FLAP HAS SOME STOP DRILLS ON THE BOTTOM SKIN, AND I WOULD PERSONALLY PATCH THAT AREA OR RESKIN IF IT WAS MY AIRPLANE.I KNOW THIS LOOKS LIKE A GEAR UP LANDING AT FIRST GLANCE, BUT IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT !!THERE IS NO BELLY DAMAGE!AS YOU CAN SEE, ALL OF THE SKINS BEHIND THE UNDAMAGED COWL FLAPS HAVE NO SCRAPING OR IMPACT.NONE!THEY NEVER TOUCHED ANYTHING!ALL ANTENNAS, THE BEACON ON THE BELLY, EVERYTHING IS UNDAMAGED.NO STEP DAMAGE OR TAIL SKID DAMAGE EITHER!SO YOU HAVE SOME RIGHT WING REPAIRS (VERY DOABLE), A LITTLE FIX ON THE RIGHT TIP TANK, NOSE AND 2 INBOARD MAIN DOORS TO REPAIR OR REPLACE, AN EXHAUST PIPE TO REPAIR, AND THEN YOU WILL REQUIRE A PROPELLOR AND ENGINE INSPECTION (NOT A MAJOR, OF COURSE, AS THIS ENGINE IS VERY LOW TIME SINCE MAJOR)THE DAMAGED PROPELLOR INSTALLED HERE IS A BEECH ELECTRIC, SO YOU CAN GO THAT WAY WHEN YOU REPLACE THE PROP, OR A BEECH HYDRAULIC, OR OF COURSE CONVERT TO MCCAULEY.LOCATED AT THE CORONA AIRPORT, A NICE LITTLE UNCONTROLLED AIRPORT IN THE LA BASIN, WITH FRIENDLY FOLKS IN ABUNDANCE.A COUPLE OF PEOPLE WERE SAD UNTIL I TOLD THEM THAT THIS NICE AIRPLANE WOULD FLY AGAIN, THEN THEY BRIGHTENED UP.THIS AIRPLANE AND HER OWNER HAVE BEEN A FIXTURE AT THAT AIRPORT FOR MANY YEARS.AIRFRAME LOGBOOKS SINCE NEW IN MAY OF 1953, CONSECUTIVE TO THE PRESENT ARE INCLUDED, AS WELL AS ENGINE LOGS SINCE 1967, PROP LOG, FAA AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE AND FAA BILL OF SALE !!WE WILL PAY THE TIE-DOWN FEE FOR 30 DAYS FROM THE END OF THE AUCTION, AND YOU CAN CONTINUE IT YOURSELF IF YOU NEED MORE TIME TO SOURCE THE PARTS OR MOVE THE AIRPLANE.THIS IS A LOT OF NICE AIRPLANE, VERY PRETTY, WITH E-225 UPGRADE, LIGHT ISOLATED AIRFRAME DAMAGE AND GOOD MODS.BUY IT NOW !!
