Bought this winter for wife lessons, but she won"t do it. Annual due 8/15. First I"ll tell you why I"m selling..... Bought 11/14 for wife to learn in. Poteau has an instructor, but no lesson plane. Had plane delivered from Georgia to Poteau. Wife would be a fantastic pilot..... smart, unflappable, multitasker, never forgets anything, mechanically inclined. ------But wife is Absolutely uninterested. ------ That"s it. Beyond my control.
I"ll tell you what I was told when I bought it. You simply add about ten hours time. I"ve never played with Nav stuff, but the pilot said everything seemed fine to him. I did get him to sign me off to fly it (2-3 hours), but I haven"t started it since we parked it. Plane is insured and registered to me.
This is what I was told:
He flew 2-3 hours per week for last ten years. Gave lessons.
Auto gas STC.
No fouled plugs or gummed valves. Burns 7 gph @ 60% power
Wings painted 2004 when right wing was repaired. Logs back to 1972.
Has been used for training, so 100 hr inspections.
Flap and seat rollers replaced 500 hours ago.
Used Aeroshell100plus with Camguard.
KMA 20 Audio panel.
Bendix/King KLN 89B Approach certified gps w/ indicator.

---------------------------------------------------------Sold as-is:I had it sold to a fellow who faulted it for a dent that the former owner says "has always been there" (that I never noticed...now pictured) and for wording in logbook for annual inspection (pictured). I returned his deposit. So, we"re selling AS-IS but what we mean is that after you check things over and we trade/get paid, it is Yours. No return or complaints after it"s yours. I don"t Have to sell it, don"t need to cheat anyone, and would like us both to be happy the next day. It would probably get in and out of my farm strip if the wind and temperature were right and the ground was dry. I will Never carry passengers anyway, so don"t need to fly a stationwagon.
We can test-fly it if you bring proof that you"re a genuine (Cessna 172) pilot and your logbook. Fuel at the airport is reasonable. There"s a mechanic there.
Tires (new recaps), main pants, and 2 headsets will go with it. I"ll want to be paid (and money cleared) before the plane goes away.Front strut (front wheel suspension) needs air every so often..... air leaks off..... just so you know. Glad to call you if you"ll give your number. Mine is 860 prefix (Connecticut) but I"ve lived here in Eastern Oklahoma 35 years.
