SUPER RARE!! NO RESERVE!!!! Maybe 12-15 flying J Models in the world!! Beautifully Maintained 1966 Bell 47J2-A, ND History, *2154 TT*, Great Flying Aircraft. Serial #3725, VERY LAST 47J Model EVER BUILT!! Own a piece of history! Featured in "Hawaii Five O", and recently "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty". Spec sheet shows great times remaining. Included in sale is an Ag King Helicopter Trailer (bill of sale), and custom made Photo door. Summer Scoops for engine cooling included. Cabin heater, ground wheels, Full logs back to 1966, all AD"s complied with. -23 metal blades, Engine SMOH:520, MRB-3700hrs remaining, 1200hr--680 remain.
I run a helicopter tour company, this helicopter truly is a wonderful aircraft to fly and give rides in. People always come up to me on the ramp at any airport and ask about it, and want to poke around. I have also been told that the exhaust note on this aircraft is really "throaty" and the best sounding 540 people have heard. Cruise is about 80 kts, its a 47, if you want to go fast buy something else. Fuel burn is about 13-14 gph, ship hold 48 gals on board, I usually figure about 2:30 hrs of range, roughly 200nm. Helicopter weight is about 1850 empty, with 2950 legal limit, so with a full bag of gas, I figure about a good 700lb useful load, which is not bad for a -47.
Included with the sale in an Ag King trailer, specifically built for transporting Bell 47s. I only have a bill of sale, but it is in good shape, with new tires and air bag suspension to smooth out bumps.
I also am including a "Brand New" in the crate, front bubble for the helicopter. There are no more molds, nor can you have this bubble made without spending $35-50K to make a new mold and bubble. Special Photo door and summer scoops are also included. I have all logs back to day 1, and all AD"s complied with. Just came out of Annual in March.
