Hi folks! Up for sale is my personal Bellanca 260! There is NO reserve, and this deal is going to be hotter than a fire ants nest! I have had this aircraft for almost two years now, and am wanting to upgrade to a twin engine aircraft. This airplane has approx 3600 total time, 1280 SMOH on the engine (IO470F), and 0.0 SMOH on the prop, with a BRAND NEW NO AD hub. The propeller was overhauled because it had not been overhauled in a long time, and I wanted to make sure everything was where it needed to be. This aircraft was recovered and painted using the ceconite/randolf process in 1993. It had a new interior then or some time shortly after the exterior was done.
I have flown this plane about 100 hours since I got it, and enjoy flying it. It gets about 13 GPH at 7500 and usually runs about 180 mph IAS. On some occasions I have seen as much as 214 MPH at 11,500 feet. Very fast, and very economical!
So when I got the plane, it was physically very good, but had some things it needed repaired, and upgraded. So below is a list of things I and my IA have repaired, exchanged, or upgrading. Mind you everything I mention below was completed 2014-2015

As mentioned earlier the propeller was overhauled with a brand new hub (NO AD) by Aircraft propeller works this June/July.
New lord engine mounts
New fuel lines firewall forward
Overhauled starter adapter
Overhauled propeller governor
Overhauled mechanical fuel pump
New Slick 6310 L & R Mags and harness
Overhauled fuel flow divider
New landing gear actuator lines
Overhauled all 3 landing gear actuators
Overhauled right toe brake
New brake pads
Plane power alternator conversion
Ack 406 ELT
New brake lines from caliper to fuselage
Pulled engine forward and replaced ALL accessory gaskets on the rear of the engine to correct any oil leaks
Overhauled vacuum pump
New Garmin SL40 COMM(VFR ONLY PLANE FOR NOW)
New Garmin GTX 327 XPDR
All instruments are new with exception of Tach, and Airspeed
New JPI digital fuel flow
Nose gear AD permanently complied with and eliminated through an STC.
Whelen LED Nav lights
Whelen Landing & Taxi lights
Nose strut rebuilt
Nose torque link new bushings installed
Main gears adjusted to spec
New main tires
New throttle, mixture, and prop cables
Currently undergoing a complete top end overhaul
Additionally, 5 out of 6 cylinders have been overhauled or replaced with overhauled in the last few years before me owning the airplane.
As you can see, I am very particular about the airplane that I own/fly, and like to make sure everything is in working order, or fixed as soon as it fails. I will never understand why people wait till annuals to fix something. This was the case with the previous owner. Did not want to fix things the plane needed, and left me holding the bag. So I have given this airplane much needed love, and additional life. I owner assist with all of the annuals, and have personally done the wing inspections alongside my mechanic with an inspection scope, moisture meter, and hammer methods. The wings are dry, and have moisture readings of 13% or less. The compression on the engine were all in the 70"s at last annual (12/2014) and I am more than sure will be just as good this year. In fact, I am so sure, I will include a fresh annual inspection with the airplane AND a brand new unopened in the box BOSE A20 Bluetooth General Aviation headset.
Someone is GOING to get a GREAT deal on a GREAT plane!
I am sure there are things I have not even included on the list of repaired items, but you get the jist of it. This airplane has been well cared for, and flown regularly. In january alone I flew from KPBI TO KMSY and back in one day just for dinner! So this bird likes to get up and stretch her legs. DO not be like everyone else and think that wood and fabric is a bad thing. This is the best flying airplane I have ever been in and rides excellently in turbulence. If I did not want a twin, this would be the last 4 place GA aircraft I would ever need considering the $$ she cost to purchase, own, and operate.
The only squawks with the aircraft currently is There are some small chips of paint on the bottom of the flaps from rocks on landing I presume, and some chips right around the wing root fairings which I currently have masking tape over to keep direct sunlight off. No damage to the fabric, but some idiot put silicone on the fairings and of course it chipped small pieces of paint off. Not a huge deal, but Needs to be touched up to be perfect. The nose gear switch which indicates gear down is also acting up recently. When you put the gear down, the light comes on, and stays on but when you get on the ground and taxi around it will go off, come back on, off again and so forth. It needs the switch replaced, but I have not done it yet. Just want to be forthcoming about what I know she still needs.
My reserve is lower than some junky Cessna 172"s. My buy it now is more than reasonable.
Good luck bidding, and please feel free to ask any questions! May the best bidder win :)
I have all logs, and are all well kept, and can be looked over with anyone who is interested
Would be willing to deliver for costs only anywhere in the southeast.

Some of my pictures show the panel before the JPI and the new manifold pressure, but the last picture shows them all. I do have more pictures that can be emailed of things like the headliner and pictures of panel before any new instruments and before the new prop.
Currently the plane is undoing a COMPLETE TOP END OVERHAUL! Plane will be completed in about 2 weeks. Please keep this in mind. I ran a compression test just to make sure all was well, and had some leakdown past the piston rings on two cylinders, so I will overhaul ALL of them.
