Offered for sale is a 1966 Cessna 172G, 1982 hrs. airframe and engine (O-300D). Propeller 0 time since IRAN (no prop strike!) All logbooks since new on all. It is currently registered and I have the Airworthiness Certificate and original factory weight & balance. Wings and empennage removed for transport and storage in 2001. Stored inside since then. COMPLETE except for interior fabric panels, insulation and some cracked interior trim plastics. Original wing tips were lost and have been replaced with other used parts, but must be painted to match. Airframe was stripped and painted in 1986 using the Sherwin-Williams Jet-Glo system. The paint on the sides and bottom polish well, but the top surfaces have thinned out so buffing will cause primer to show through. Some of the exterior plastics have minor cracks.A new instrument panel was fabricated and equipped with post lights and internally lighted DG.ALL required flight instruments installed per the Type CertificateAlternate static source kit60 Amp AlternatorSLICK MagnetosExhaust extensionsWhelen strobe lighting, wings, tail, bellyHoskins Tail StrobeACK-450 ELTNARCO AT-50A Transponder with Altitude EncoderCleveland wheels and brakesWheel pantsThere is no battery, seat belt webbing, headliner, carpet, insulation or interior fabric except at the firewall. Chrome seat belt buckles and attachments are included. No avionics except those listed above. The rear seat fabric is good, but the pilot and co-pilot seat fabric is torn and faded. The tires have great tread but are too old to be serviceable as are the tubes. Minor corrosion on the floor where wet boots dripped onto the carpet. This area just needs cleaning, alodine and primer. Corrosion in the airframe is observed to be minimal. The windshield is crazed and must be replaced to be airworthy. The other windows are original and their condition is appropriate to their age. No cracks or major scratches, but crazed. This aircraft is a great candidate if you want one done YOUR WAY! You pick the interior, exterior, and maybe even put a 180 HP Lycoming in it! That is what I wanted to do, but I am being transferred out of the country and will not be able to move forward. My loss is your gain.Obviously, the aircraft must be moved in a truck, trailer or flatbed. I used a flatbed auto trailer to get it here. It is located in Melbourne, Florida near, but not at, MLB airport. I will provide an FAA Form 8050-2 BILL OF SALE and a Florida Motor Vehicle Bill Of Sale once payment is complete per the stated terms.I am an A&P mechanic and I can accomplish work on the aircraft before you take delivery for additional fees. Please come and inspect it.THIS AIRCRAFT IS LISTED FOR SALE LOCALLY AND MAY BE WITHDRAWN FROM eBAY AT ANY TIME!A deposit of $500.00 is required immediately upon successful bid. Sold as-is, where-is.
