IT APPEARS THE PILOT SELECTED GEAR UP, RATHER THAN FLAPS UP AS HE WAS TAXIING IN, BUT APPARENTLY, ONLY BRIEFLY.
THE SIGNS THAT THIS WAS NOT A "GEAR COLLAPSE" ARE EVERYWHERE:
THERE IS NO NOSECONE OR BELLY DAMAGE FROM THIS INCIDENT.
NONE !!
THE INBOARD MAIN GEAR DOORS, WHICH ARE THE VERY FIRST THING TO OPEN DURING GEAR RETRACTION ARE THE ONLY AIRFRAME PARTS TO BE SRAPED !!
THE TRAILING EDGES OF THE FLAPS, THE AUGMENTER TUBE COVERS ON THE LOWER WINGS, AND ALL OF THE BELLY MOUNTED ANTENNAS ARE UNDAMAGED !!!!
THE LEFT PROP HAS A SLIGHT BEND ON THE OUTER FEW INCHES OF EACH BLADE, BUT THEY ARE NOT FULLY BENT BACK
THE RIGHT PROP IS UNBENT, AND ACTUALLY APPEARS UNDAMAGED UNTIL YOU LOOK CLOSE, AND REALIZE THAT THERE IS AN 1/8 IN SCRAPED AREA ON EACH TIP.
NEITHER ENGINE APPEARS TO HAVE STOPPED ROTATING AS A RESULT
REMEMBER, THESE ENGINE EACH HAVE ONLY 400 HOURS SINCE MAJOR OVERHAUL !!
THE OUTBOARD GEAR DOORS, AND THE CALIPERS ON THE MAIN WHEELS ARE NOT SCRAPED, AS WOULD HAPPEN IF THEY FOLDED UP !!
EVEN THE NOSE GEAR DOORS ARE NOT SCRAPED
THERE ARE A FEW ISSUES, AND I SUSPECT THAT THIS AIRPLANE DID SUFFER A GEAR UP SOMETIME IN IT"S HISTORY, BEFORE THIS PAINT JOB
HERES WHAT I SAW
THE TRAILING EDGES OF THE NOSE GEAR DOORS ARE SLIGHTLY WAVY, ALTHOUGH NOT SCRAPED OF PAINT, SO IT COULDNT BE FROM THIS INCIDENT
THERE IS A WAVE UNDERNEATH THE BAGGAGE DOOR, PAINTED OVER AT THE TIME OF THE PAINT
THE RIGHT INBOARD FLAP HAS AN EDGE THAT DOESNT FIT JUST RIGHT AGAINST THE FUSELAGE. THE OTHER SIDE, AND BOTH OUTBOARD FLAPS, LOOK FINE. AGAIN, NOT FROM THIS INCIDENT
THERE IS HAIL DAMAGE VISIBLE ON THE HORIZONTAL TAIL SURFACES, MOSTLY ON THE LEFT, AND SOME SCATTERED AROUND THE BALANCE OF THE AIRPLANE. SINCE THE PAINT JOB POSSIBLY, BUT NOT SINCE THIS INCIDENT. YOU HAVE TO GO LOOKING FOR IT, BUT I WANTED THE BUYER TO KNOW.
I SUSPECT THAT SOME OF THIS PREVIOUS DAMAGE, UNREPAIRED OR NOT PERFECTLY REPAIRED, MIGHT HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE CURRENT ISSUE WITH THE INBOARD GEAR DOORS AND THE PROPS TO CREATE A "TOTAL", BUT I AM NOT PRIVY TO THAT INFORMATION, SO I CAN ONLY GUESS
WHAT I DO KNOW, SINCE I JUST LOOKED AT THIS AIRPLANE PERSONALLY AND TOOK THE PHOTOS, IS THAT IT IS A PRETTY SHARP LOOKING 310 !!
THE PAINT IS PEELING FROM THE RIGHT AILERON, WHICH DOESNT HAVE ANY HAIL ON IT, SO MAYBE THAT SURFACE WAS REDONE AND PAINTED, BUT NOT PROPERLY PRIMED. EASY RESPRAY
THE AIRPLANE DOES HAVE DEICE BOOTS, BUT THEY ARE WEATHERED AND PATCHED, SO I CANT TELL ABOUT THERE USEFULNESS, BUT THEY ARE NOT MARKED INOP
THE AVIONICS UNITS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING
