THIS AIRPLANE SUFFERED DAMAGE WHEN IT LANDED WITH BOTH FLAPS AND GEAR RETRACTED. I WONDER WHAT HAPPENED ON THAT APPROACH?
DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED TO THE 180 H.P. LYCOMING ENGINE AND THE PROP, OF COURSE, AND THESE UNITS WERE UNBOLTED AND ARE NOT INCLUDED, BUT THE ENGINE MOUNT IS GOOD, AND THE THROTTLE, PROP AND MIXTURE CABLES ARE GOOD AND INCLUDED
SCRAPING TO THE CENTER SECTION SKINS ON THE BELLY, OF COURSE, AS WELL AS THE NOSE GEAR DOORS, BUT THE LOWER COWL IS NOT SCRAPED, JUST A VERY LITTLE ON THE COWL FLAP TRAILING EDGES
THE ENTIRE AIRFRAME IS COMPLETE WITH ALL AIRFRAME ITEMS INCLUDED
FLAPS, AILERONS, ALL 3 GEAR ALL INCLUDED AND UNDAMAGED !
THE GEAR HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO THE DESIRABLE ELECTRIC GEAR SYSTEM, AND THIS SYSTEM IS DESIREABLE AND VALUABLE FOR AN UPGRADE FOR THOSE MANY MOONEY OWNERS STILL DOING IT THEMSELVES !!
THE TAIL CONE WAS CAREFULLY UNRIVITED SO THAT THE ONE PIECE WING COULD BE TRAILERED EASILY, BUT THE TAILCONE HAS NO DAMAGE
THE TAIL T, WITH VERTICAL, RUDDER, HORIZONTAL AND ELEVATORS, IS ALSO UNDAMAGED
FLAPS AND AILERONS WERE NOT HURT
THE INTERIOR ITSELF, SEATS AND SIDE PANELS, WAS VERY NICE, IN A PLEASING AND UNIQUE PATTERN, BUT THE AIRPLANE GOT LEFT OUTSIDE NEAR A SWAMP FOR A SHORT PERIOD, AND THE SEATS, LIKE THE TOP SURFACES OF THE WINGS, IF YOU LOOK CLOSE, HAVE A THIN COATING OF A WIERD GREEN HAZE.
I AM SURE THAT THE SEATS WILL CLEAN UP, AND THEN IT WILL BE REALLY NICE. PLASTICS AND SIDE PANELS WERE REDONE
NO DAMAGE TO THE FIREWALL OR ENGINE MOUNT, OR UPPER OR LOWER COWLING
