Item specifics
Condition: Used Make: Cessna
Model Year: 1968
Located about half hour drive from Fort Smith, AR (FSM) served by Delta and American. .Runs and flies just like it should. SMOH 2189 hours. Total looks like 4858. Since the July 22nd annual I"ve flown two hours (the plane has flown 2 hours). Student license. I fly my ultralight about that much too. Annual done at RKR Poteau, OK (free tie-downs and friendly mechanic there) and it took me months to get around to fetching it and flying ten miles to my 2,000" all-weather grass strip here on the farm. It is always too hot or too cold, too windy or not windy enough, but mostly I have more important things to do. THAT"S why I"m selling it. Side and bottom paint is ok, top surfaces poor. Windshield is just ok (I have a new one in a box in the barn....), side windows and landing light plastic crazed. Have the right seat and a few other parts that are included. Com radio receives but never tried transmitting. No wires to the mic jack. Will include a couple of aviation headsets with plane, but it isn"t set up for two. Haven"t tried Nav radio. Prop, motor, gear, and tires are fine. Logs and airworthiness cert. I bought this in NY state and trailered it home several years ago. Hadn"t been used since "94 (1994) but was a complete, running, flyable, hangared plane before we loaded it that cold winter night. The airport wanted it annualed before the old guy flew it. He finally just sold it. Annual ended up costing me close to $1,500 if you include $600 of spinner parts. Guess that"s not bad. Spinners seem to be required on these things.
Get your buddy to fly you in here, pay me, take off for home. Tanks full of avgas. Has STC for auto gas and wingtips. If you don"t like the way it flies, get back here within 15 minutes and I"ll hand you back your 100 hundreds..... minus charge for any damage you might have done. Also, the price is the price is the price. $10k. I can keep it in its hangar here forever, but could use that space for tractors and stuff.
TRADES..... interesting trade-ins would be considered. Trade your 450/550 Case dozer, your ultralight/light-sport project (I have a new 55hp Hirth, some Ivoprops, and BRS tucked away), your 150 with crunched left wing (have a spare left from an older 150 I sold), or easy project (even one that never will be "right") 150 size or smaller/lighter/slower all-metal. No boats, bikes, motorhomes, or land. I"m old enough to Already have had about everything that I wanted.
I"ll do my best to answer questions. George 860-978-3586 cell. Also listed on Fort Smith, AR Craigslist.
