No-expense-spared, beautiful restoration! This 0-2 is in award-winning condition - must truly been seen to be appreciated. Previous owner spent over $300K in restoration.
This 0-2 served with the USAF from 1969 until it was retired into storage in 1987. The airplane was purchased out of storage in 1994 and a restoration project was started, the majority of which was completed in 2012-2013. It has all the original equipment, plus a modern avionics suite. The cosmetics are something that must be seen to be appreciated, truly impressive.Total Time: 3950SMOH (F) 370 (Factory Overhaul, completed in 1980)
SMOH (R) 160 (Factory Overhaul, completed in 1983)
SPOH (F) 130
SPOH (R) 160The engines and props were overhauled in the early 80"s, then properly stored before being re-installed for the restoration.
The times were confirmed from military records, however the civilian logbooks technically do not start until the restoration was in progress in 2011.
