1971 Piper Seneca I 430W EFIS De-Ice Autopilot For sale is our 1971 Piper Seneca PA34-200. We plan 145kts on 18gph carrying about 700-1000 pounds depending on fuel load. Engines are solid, Lycoming 4-cyliders are hard to beat for dependability and reliability. Burn no oil between 25 hour changes. Its not the fastest 6-place twin but it has many added features, which enhance a safe and economical operation. The Autopilot is a Piper Altimatic IIIb-I, which is basically a Century autopilot. With its glideslope capturing and the 430 WAAS unit I’ve flown coupled LPV approaches to minimums. The Garmin G5 EFIS is an excellent addition to the panel, plus it has a 4-hour internal battery providing an excellent safety backup in case of electrical or gyro failure for IFR flight. The De-Ice system also adds safety but is not FIKI certified, I wouldn’t spend much time at all in ice with any aircraft but that’s just my opinion. The boots are in good shape with little to no cracking and only two patches.
Airframe logs compete with AD-LOG system, Engine logs complete from factory overhaul. Previous part 135 aircraft.
This plane has served us well but we simply don’t use it with enough regularity to justify it. Its kept in a heated hangar. We do fly it every two weeks so times will change. We are open to trades for either large (4place or bigger) taildraggers or class A motorhomes plus cash as needed. Transaction will be handled through an escrow company for everyone’s protection and that fee (~$500) will be split. Deposit due promptly and remainder due within 7 business days. I have described the Seneca as best as possible. It is being offered for sale in annual but AS-IS with no guarantee of condition or specs…do you own homework. Aircraft is available for inspection for serious parties. Delivery is possible on a mutually agreeable schedule for costs incurred. Aircraft listed elsewhere, auction may end without notice. Additional photos, log scans, or information is available for serious parties. Please no tire kickers, we are all busy so please don’t waste time. No Brokers, I do not need assistance selling or delivering.
