NO RESERVE!! I am not a mechanic but if you are one, this project would be a fairly easy one. The grumman AA1A is an inexpensive plane to own and fly but this one has more maintenance issues than I want to deal with at this time because I want a bigger plane. I am selling it as an out of annual project in need of maintenance to have a new airworthiness certificate. I have the airframe and engine logbooks and the plane comes with wheel chocks, canopy cover, sun shades and tow bar. The engine has 1551 SMOH and 4843 TT airframe. The last compression check was performed on 3/23/2015 and is 76/71/72/75. STC"s are available for the AA1A for a 150 or 160 HP 0-320 engine conversion if that is of interest. Everything works in the panel aside from an older comm2. It has a Bendix KLX 135 A Nav Comm GPS and a push to talk 2 place intercom. The plane was repainted in 2011 and is in very good shape. It has new tires (2014), New directional gyro (2015), New Concord sealed aircraft battery (2015). I flew the plane on 4/25/2015 so I don"t think it would be a problem to get a ferry permit but if the buyer prefers, I can have the wings removed for shipping for labor cost payed for by the buyer. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping but I am willing to provide airport pickup or help locate a ferry pilot. I have located a bigger plane and I"m in a hurry to sell this one, so for the right buyer, this is a great bargain as it is probably the cheapest running certified aircraft with a GPS and new paint in existence. Good Luck Bidding!! |
