*Just want to clarify after some private messages. The airplane is airworthy and had its last annual in March 2019.
Grumman AA-1B with approximately 1113 SMOH, 608 STOH (TBO 2400). Last annual was in March 2019 and there were no issues. The compressions were all 72+.It has been well taken care of and flown regularly since I bought it in Feb. 2018. I bought it with my instrument rating and it has gotten me through Commercial, CFI, and soon to be CFI-I. It is really a solid, dependable plane that is very cheap to maintain. The panel is dual nav VOR with NAV 1 having the ILS function. The radios (Bendix King Silver Crown) /interior(carpeting, seats) were re-done in 2017. The only major additions I have made to it maintenance-wise was an LED Landing Light (very bright!) and a reconditioned HDG indicator. The paint is from 1988/89, I even have pictures of the original owner repainting it in his driveway. Although the paint is old, it is still very strong, with only touch paint here and there. All the wheel pants are original. There is an oil cooler on it for the warmer months and the engine itself is solid. I gave it oil changes every 25 hours. There are no oil filters on these guys, just 2 oil screens that are inspected every annual which makes your oil changes a breeze. Due to its bonded skin (opposed to rivets) It has a lot less drag then its competitors (152/150, etc). It has the same engine (basically) as a 152 but does ~95 kts when your cruising along. I would really hate to sell the Grumman, I just have seen the plane become a toy after its served as a tool for so long.New Cover 2018 from planecover.com (Jim C.)I am a CFI, so I could throw in a few hours of instruction to get familiar with the aircraft.May be able to ferry plane upon purchase completion to destination within reasonable distance (if you dont want to fly it yourself!)Pm for any questions or any information regarding this great airplane!
