This bid is for a project Citabria 7 KCAB. The airframe has 2405 TT. It is for the airframe only No firewall forward. Will include the airframe logbooks, airworthiness and data plate. As Is, where is. No engine, prop or avionics. The airplane was in service until about a year ago when we found a spar that was chaffing. Since the fabric was old and having paint issues I decided to recover the airplane. This is taking more time than I wish to devote hence the reason it is up for sale. I intend on using the engine on another project, otherwise I would be open to potential options.
What this project needs. Obviously it needs covering. It needs spars and some basic repairs that are fairly easy to accomplish. One aileron spar spar has a crack in it that a simple doubler will fix. It needs the side windows and could use new interior. All of the fuselage wood is gone and will need to be replaced.One wing is completely disassembled.
The project can be viewed prior to the auction closing in Valley Center, Kansas.
