The plane served some of her life as an air ambulance on a part 135 certificate. She has about 11,400 hours total time, but her maintenance has been nothing but exceptional. All she needs right now is a fresh annual. The left engine has about 1550 hours since the last major overhaul. I have put about 25 hours on it and have only had to add one quart of oil. All the compression"s are in the 70"s. She runs tight and strong. The right engine has about 1050 hours on it, and in the same 25 hours I have yet to have to add any oil. All the compression"s are in the 70"s, and she runs tight and strong. Both props were overhauled when I bought her and have 25 hours on them. The left prop governor was also overhauled. There was a damage write up in the past that seemed to be more of a hit to the pilot than damage to the aircraft. It seems someone taxied over a raised taxiway light and knocked off an antenna from the belly. I have opted to hold off on the annual until I get a buyer. I would rather sell it to someone with 12 months left than some number less than that. I pay my guy $1500 to do the annual and am willing to put that same amount toward a pre-buy / annual. The aircraft is hangared in Arlington Texas (KGKY). On her last annual we found a crack on one of the upper main cabin door hinges. We replaced the hinge with a serviceable replacement. Other than the hinge I replaced both voltage regulators to correct a "jumpy" amp meter reading I would see every now and again. She is a late in the year 1975 model. The last year of the 421B with the heavy case H model engines.
