“The aircraft is in excellent condition. She has a fresh annual and ready to go.” |
Make: | Cessna | Model Year: | 1975 |
The aircraft has 11,600 hours of total time and saw service
as an air ambulance. She was very well maintained and has all logs to prove it.
The previous owner converted her back to a very nice passenger plane. The paint
is one of the best I have seen on a 421, could us a few touch-up of two but
that’s about it. The interior is very nice and in great shape. The engines are just about perfect. The left engine is near TBO at 1560 hours but still has compressions at 78,76,78,78,75,72. I have flown the bird for 20 plus hours and have put 1 quart of oil in so far. The right engine has 1060 hours on it and compressions at 76,78,74,74,76,76 and have yet to have to add any oil to it. The avionics are fairly stock with dual Colins com/nav, dual transponder, ADF, Appolo GX55 GPS, Century IV autopilot and color radar. It came with all the factory upgrades that you could get at the time. Upgraded pressurization panel and fire detection/suppression. The air-conditioning will freeze you out, even in Texas. Over all this is a fantastic bird at a great price. If you are looking for an air-conditioned, pressurized twin, look no farther. I know some out there have been told urban legends about the geared motors on 421’s and to stay away from them. It’s “Bull”. If you are any kind of pilot, and know how to take care of your equipment, you will LOVE them. The cabin at cruise is about as quiet as anything that still slings a prop. Also, some out there say the engines are too expensive to overhaul. If you go to RAM you will pay thru the nose, these can be overhauled for the mid to high twenties all day long. |
