Item specifics
Condition: Used Make: Lake Aircraft
Model Year: 1975
Hello: You are looking at my 1975 LA4-200 project that was landed gear down and sunk in fresh water. This is not your average Lake 200. It has been maintained by the foremost Lake expert in the world. Has several mods including; Bat wings, L.E.D landing and nav lights, cargo door, Sponsin fuel, 3-blade reversing propeller, Red baron main landing gear doors, Aero Trim electric rudder trim and is still in annual.
The avionics include; Garmin GNS-430 with Garmin glide slope indicator, Garmin GNS-430W coupled to a NSD-360 HSI, Garmin GTX-330 transponder, Garmin GMA-340 audio panel, Century II autopilot and a JPI model 800-4C engine monitor.
The airframe N 1065L , serial number 658 has 2068 hours since new and has complete logs. The airframe has zero corrosion or hail damage.
As you can see in the pictures, the airframe has damage to the following areas; skin below propeller has been cut and needs replacement, the nose section needs the two lower skins and side skins spliced, the inner tunnel skins (2) need replaced (spliced) the right side forward bulkhead and forward bulkhead need replacement and the fiberglass nose cover needs replaced or repaired. The forward fiberglass engine cover has a dent and a crack and needs fiberglass repair. The right wing was damaged outboard and needs four skins replaced. The left wing has a dent in the outboard leading edge from the recovery. The right sponsin is damaged and needs repair. Everything in the panel got wet. Some items are repairable and some are junk. All engine gauges are available on Ebay for $25-$40.
The Garmin stack also got wet. Garmin has a flat fee to repair all their avionics. Not sure these qualify, but it"s worth a try.
The engine has been removed and is not part of this sale however, included in the sale is a complete Lycoming IO-360A1B6 that has been dis-assembled and inspected and ready for overhaul.
The MT three blade reversing propeller is also included and will need blades.
I have located all parts to repair this aircraft including the propeller. When completed, this aircraft should be worth $75,000 with all the mods and avionics. The reserve is set less than the value of the engine and right wing. Although it is a re-builder, it would make a perfect parts plane.
