1978 CESSNA 152, 8523TT, GREAT AIRFRAME LITTLE DAMAGE, GREAT UPGRADE CANDIDATE !!
THIS 152, (BUILT IN LATE 1977 AS A 1978 MODEL) HAS -8523 TOTAL TIME.
IT LOOKS GOOD, ALLOVER WHITE WITH RED AND GREY "SWISH" STRIPES
THE INTERIOR IS ALSO NICE, IN BLUE CLOTH
UNFORTUNATELY, IT WAS PARKED IN A PERFECTLY GOOD SPOT AT THE WRONG TIME !!
ANOTHER AIRCRAFT TAXIED INTO THE TAIL OF THIS PRETTY 152 WHILE THE 152 WAS TIED DOWN, DAMAGING THE AFT TAILCONE AND SOME TAIL FEATHERS !!
DAMAGE INCLUDES:
THE SKINS ON THE AFT TAIL BETWEEN THE LAST AND SECOND TO THE LAST RIBS. THIS AREA IS SEPARATE FROM THE LONG TAILCONE SIDE SKINS, AND IS REPLACEABLE WITHOUT REPLACING THOSE MORE FORWARD SKINS.
THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER IS DENTED ON THE FORWARD SKIN ON THE RIGHT SIDE, BUT THE LEFT SIDE IS UNDAMAGED, AND BOTH OF THE ELEVATORS ARE UNDAMAGED
THE VERTICAL FIN AND RUDDER BOTH HAVE WRINKLES, BUT THE TOP FIBERGLASS CAPS ARE INTACT.
WHY DO THE TOP CAPS MATTER?
BECAUSE IT SHOWS THAT THIS AIRPLANE DID NOT GO OVER ON IT"S BACK (A COMMON ACCIDENT FOR ANY CESSNA)
THE TAIL DAMAGE IS ISOLATED, DID N OT COME FROM A CRASH, AND DID NOT AND DOES NOT AFFECT THE REST OF THE AIRPLANE!!
YOU CAN SEE 2 VERY SMALL DENTS IN THE RIGHT TAILCONE IN ONE OF THE PICTURES. THESE SMALL DINGS ARE THE ONLY DAMAGE TO THE ENTIRE FUSELAGE EXCEPT THOSE LAST TWO BULKHEADS !!
AND NONE OF THE REST OF THE AIRPLANE IS DAMAGED EITHER !
CLEAN, AND WITH NO HAIL DAMAGE OR OBVIOUS CORROSION ISSUES !
THE WINGS, FLAPS, AILERONS AND TIPS ARE UNDAMAGED
THE COWLINGS, FIREWALL, ENGINE MOUNT AND BOOTCOWL ARE UNDAMAGED
ALL 3 LANDING GEAR IS UNDAMAGED
THE CABIN AND DOORS ARE UNDAMAGED
ALL OF THE GLASS IS GOOD
AS YOU CAN SEE, THE ROOF MOUNT ANTENNAS ARE INCLUDED AND UNDAMAGED
OPTIONAL SEMI-DROOP WINGTIPS, WITH OPTIONAL STROBES
SO, YOU NEED AN AFT TAILCONE (THE REARMOST 2 BULKHEADS AND THE SKIN BETWEEN) WE HAVE THAT OF COURSE (WE ARE WENTWORTH AIRCRAFT, THE LARGEST SUPPLIER OF USED PARTS FOR SINGLE ENGINED CESSNAS IN THE WORLD), AND WE WILL INCLUDE THIS SECTION AT NO COST TO THE BUYER.
THE HORIZONTAL, VERTICAL AND RUDDER CAN BE REBUILT OR REPLACED, AT YOUR DISCRETION. IT SO HAPPENS THAT THESE PARTS ARE ALL SHARED WITH CESSNA 150"S FROM 1974 AND UP, AS WELL AS 152"S, SO THEY ARE PLENTIFUL.
THE ENGINE WAS REMOVED, IN ANTICIPATION OF AN UPGRADE TO THE 150 H.P. LYCOMING, AND IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION
MAYBE THAT"S THE WAY YOU WANT TO GO? THE 150 H.P. ENGINE WILL BOLT ONTO THE MOTOR MOUNT, SO YOU CAN HAVE A HIGH PERFORMANCE POCKET ROCKET WITH LITTLE EFFORT.
OR GO BACK WITH THE 115 H.P. 0-235 LYCOMING. ALL OF THE ENGINE CONTROL CABLES, ELECTRICAL WIRING, ETC. ARE INTACT AND READY TO GO. BATTERY BOX INSTALLED, AND THE AIRPLANE HAS THE OPTIONAL GROUND POWER PLUG.
THE DASH IS CLEAN, AS SHOWN, WITH ALL LATE STYLE, GOOD LOOKING INSTRUMENTS.
NO AVIONICS ARE INCLUDED, SO YOU CAN GO AS MINIMALISTIC OR GRAND AS YOU DESIRE.
