Some issues with boots (valve, some pinholes in wing boots) and radar (display OK, not painting downward) deferred. 8.5 out/7.5 in.
Clean airframe can be flown now, perfect for major refurb due to low price and great condition.
Soft market and deferred items above, dictates very large discount from Vref estimate of 104k. 3 spare collins radios (both working and bought "for parts", but haven"t been needed, cargo straps, etc.
Eligible for gross weight increase with remarked airspeed indicator (not done) part to VG STC.
Corrosion free and NDH, but for some unnoticeable hail on some control surfaces, (has actually been removed with cold/hot exposure over time). The most common remark about this plane is how nice it looks and how clean the aircraft structure is. IFR cert. just done 4/2016!------------------------------------------------------------Known issues: Turn coordinator needle doesn"t move, motor does run with no sound of distress or heat, may be fixable. The yaw damper gets it"s cue from that needle, I believe. An autopilot speed switch was found to be leaking during the ifr cert, and was removed, pitot and static connecting lines plugged. This means that the autopilot would not increase it"s gain at low speed flight, which you wouldn"t probably be using the autopilot for anyway. Front boots have pinholes with small horizontal cracks at the leading edge. Several dozen. One of the dump valves for the vacuum pumps is inop. My mechanic thought this could not be economically be repaired for a Florida plane, but brand NEW boots are list price at 14k for the entire wing installed. Not sure of the price on the valve, but one can buy serviceable one. The boots could also be patched or the holes filled with a rubber repair process, (seen that done in the past). The tail boots are in good condition, the wing boots are original, though. It flies fine as is. Radar worked with borrowed antenna/transmitter unit, so sent it off for repair. It is the magnetron that"s bad. They offered a warranteed exchange for $4200. I"ve seen Ebay sell some for about 1/3 of that in the past. ------------------------------------------------------------------$2500 deposit required for top bidder.
