The Cessna 182 has been described by many as the “Best all around aircraft you can buy”; and I agree ! Now couple that with the ability to lift it’s feet, adding more than 10 plus kts to your cruise. What could be better?
This is an amazing aircraft. VERY beautiful with a 2007 paint scheme. Newly overhauled Signature engine. This plane was my “Baby” for the past 5 years. I have spared no expense on the maintenance and upkeep of this machine. ALL Ad’s have been complied.
This girl cruises at 135 to 143 kts with a useful load of over 1200 pounds ! (1223 to be exact) Load your family! Will carry 4 people and enough fuel that it will fly longer than your bladder. Carries up to 92 gals, and burns about 15 per hour. (Book says 13, but I never leaned her that far) That’s about 6 hours.
There is a lot of good in this girl, but she has an incident in her past. I made a gear up landing. Yep, I did it, I own it. A veritable brain fart that cost me lots of money, and had my bird down for almost a year. July 29, 2014 Back flying again on 7.24.15. The belly was repaired by one of the preeminent sheet metal guys in the DFW Metroplex. (Had to wait for him, he is VERY busy guy) This is it, this is the only DH on her.
I have put 150 plus hours on her since, and can verify that she flys straight, true and stable. Hours may vary as we still fly her regularly.
Very well equipped panel, and current Instrument Certs. Everything works as it should, and logbooks are complete back to day 1 from factory.
If you are looking for a dependable aircraft that isn’t going to nickel and dime you to death, this is your bird.
